INCOMING CALL ALERT METHOD AND TERMINAL
20220368797 · 2022-11-17 ·

Embodiments of this application disclose an incoming call alert method and a terminal. The incoming call alert method includes: receiving an incoming call request; and invoking an audio/video player of a system to play audio/video corresponding to the incoming call request. The audio/video player is disposed in a system of the terminal in the embodiments of this application, so that when the terminal receives the incoming call request, the system of the terminal can play the audio/video used for incoming call alert. In this way, the terminal can alert a user by playing the audio/video without occupying additional system resources. In addition, an animation of the video and a caller ID display interface that are displayed by the terminal are integrated in terms of a visual effect, thereby improving use experience of the user.

Estimating unit estimates an alarm notification time. Presenting unit presents the estimated alarm notification time to a user. Setting unit sets an alarm notification time based on a user's operation performed relative to the presentation of the estimated alarm notification time. When doing so, setting unit, on detecting that presenting unit has not presented the estimated alarm notification time by a predetermined point in time prior to the estimated alarm notification time, sets the alarm notification time in the absence of a user's operation. Notification unit activates an alarm at the set notification time notified by setting unit.

Device and method for providing vibration

Various embodiments of the disclosure provide a method and apparatus for providing a vibration in an electronic device. According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an electronic device may include a memory including instructions stored therein, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor coupled to the memory is configured to execute the stored instructions for detecting an event for a user's input related to a direction, identifying a vibration pattern having directivity, in response to the detected event, and providing a vibration having directivity by driving the one or more vibration devices, based on the vibration pattern.

Wearable communication device
11265635 · 2022-03-01 · ·

Disclosed is a ring shaped wearable communication device (ring) for a user's finger. The ring includes: a sound sensor that detects ambient sound levels; a speaker that produces sound in human audible frequency range per at least one signal received, wherein intensity of the sound produced is based on the ambient sound level; an out port; and a hollow channel with an increasing cross-section that wraps around the finger, wherein: smaller cross-section end of the hollow channel is connected to the speaker and the other end of the hollow channel is connected to the out port to provide a horn-like structure; the out port and the hollow channel are configured to reduce the mismatch between the acoustic impedance of air immediately outside the out port and the acoustic impedance as seen by the speaker just outside the speaker; and the out port emits sound received from the speaker as directional sound in close vicinity of the user's hand.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING REMOTE INCOMING CALL NOTIFICATION FOR CELLULAR PHONES
20220060576 · 2022-02-24 ·

The present invention provides a remote notification to a user of a cellular, or mobile, phone as the result of a particular activity or any activity at all (e.g., an incoming call from a particular person, group, or just an incoming call). In one embodiment, a sensing device is provided on the cellular phone that communicates/routes an alert to a remote notification device. In one economical embodiment, the notification device may have a short wire-based communication channel (e.g., roughly 1 foot to 5 feet) and only have a single output device (e.g., a light-emitting device). Thus, a woman may be able to quietly receive notifications of a cell phone event when her cell phone is stored in her purse.
