Exercise apparatus and method of use
An exercise apparatus having an upper body portion and a lower body portion, the upper and lower body portions positionable in a substantially horizontal position to accommodate a user in a kneeling position. A connector connects the upper and lower body portions. First and second resistant members are attached to the one or both of the upper and lower body portions. The body portions can be movable between a closed folded position and an open position.
Spring exercise system and method of exercising
A spring exercise system and method of exercising that allows a user to perform a full body, low-impact style of exercise. The system utilizes a non-fixed extension spring that stretches and generates resistance when pulling and pressing forces are applied. The extension spring or springs are stretchable between multiple types of interchangeable grasp handles which may include any combination of a resilient loop handle with or without double “D” rings, a single rigid handle, and/or a resilient double loop handle. The spring may have a swiveling link or other mechanism/structure that joins the free ends of the spring to the grasp handles allowing a 360° rotation. The grasp handles are used with combinations of hands and feet, arms and legs to generate an extension of resistance that stretches, strengthens and tones muscles, enhances flexibility, core strength, joint stability, and muscle balance.
FITNESS EQUIPMENT ACCESSORIES
Accessories that are attachable to fitness equipment may be used to allow users to move the attachment quickly and easily from one position to another by removing the accessory or sliding it along a vertical or horizontal upright that forms part of the fitness equipment or rack. The accessories may come in many forms so that various exercises may be carried out using the accessories on the same fitness equipment or rack.
MODULAR EXERCISE APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHODS
An exercise system includes a base module having a seat with a seat depth, and a vertically adjustable back configured to fixedly engage with the base module at a first seat depth and a second seat depth different from the first seat depth.
Stretch Band or Cord Exercise Apparatus and Methods of Using the Same
A stretch band or cord exercise apparatus comprises a flat planar base having a plurality of connection elements around a portion of a perimeter thereof. Stretch bands, bungee cords, or other similar stretch cord or band, may be attached, hooked, tied to, or otherwise disposed on one or more of the plurality of connection elements and utilized for one or more exercises by a user standing on or adjacent to the apparatus. The apparatus may be disposed on a floor, or may be attached to a different horizontal surface, such as a raised platform, a table, or even a ceiling, or may be attached to a vertical surface. Methods of using the same are further provided.
INTERACTIVE RESISTANCE BAND TRAINING SYSTEMS
Interactive/smart resistance band training systems include one or more resistance bands connected to a force sensing unit that registers the force exerted by a user on handles connected to the bands. The sensing unit operates effectively regardless of whether the user is training with one handle individually, or with two handles being pulled in parallel or non-parallel directions. The systems may correct the force readings to account for non-alignment between the force-measurement axis of the force sensing unit and the directions in which the user applies force to the resistance bands. The systems may guide a user through exercise sessions tailored to the fitness level of the user; may display the force readings, calories burned, and other performance parameters and goals on a continuous, real-time basis; may summarize the result of the exercise session; and may recommend subsequent exercise sessions based on the performance of the user.
Exercise machine
An exercise machine which includes a centralized spring box and multiple gripping surfaces with which an exerciser may perform a wide range of exercise moves. The exercise machine includes a movable carriage and platform on a track. Bias members may be connected between the carriage and various structural elements of the exercise machine so as to impart a resistance force against movement of the carriage. An outer handle may be positioned around a carriage platform so as to surround the carriage platform. Inner handles may be positioned between the carriage platform and the outer handle, with the inner handle(s) being connected not to the outer handle or the carriage platform, but to an underlying support assembly. A pair of end handles may extend outwardly from the ends of the exercise machine. A bias member retainer such as a spring box may be centrally-located along the length of the exercise machine.
IMPROVED DEVICE FOR SUSPENSION TRAINING
The invention relates to an improved device for suspension training, having a central pulley which is secured by a carabiner with a safety closure and through the channel of which slides an 8 mm cord restricted by sliding cord loops into which are hooked flat carabiners that connect same to handles formed by a flat strap and a tube with a cushioned surface, the device also having a strap of loops.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES FOR DISPLAYING EXERCISE INFORMATION
An exercise bar is provided. The exercise bar includes a handle tube with a longitudinal interior bore. The handle tube has a first end and a second end. A center shaft has an outer surface. The center shaft is fitted through the longitudinal interior bore exposing a first end portion of the center shaft at the first end of the handle tube and exposing a second end portion of the center shaft at the second end of the handle tube. A sensor is disposed on a mounting section of the outer surface of the center shaft between the first and second portion of the center shaft. A processor is disposed in an interior of the exercise bar. The sensor is in electronic communication with the processor in the exercise bar.
Exercise Apparatus
An exercise apparatus for assisting a user with a range of exercises includes a frame having a first frame section extending in a generally horizontal direction. At least one carriage is configured to support a user, wherein the carriage is slidably supported on the first frame section. A first resistance system has a first resilient member removably connected to at least one of the carriage and/or the frame. The displacement of the carriage relative to the frame exerts a tensile force on the resilient member. A second resistance system includes a load moveably mounted with respect to the frame and an actuation member connected to the load. The actuation member is configured to displace the load when a force exerted by the user on the actuating member exceeds a predetermined threshold representative of the load.
