System to share and present temporary contact information
A system for sharing and presenting temporary contact information associated with a service personnel. When a user generates an order request, the system generates temporary data indicative of a contact name and a phone number associated with the service personnel. The system sends the temporary data to a media device of the user. The media device stores the temporary data in a secure storage and receives a communication from a service media device associated with the service personnel. The media device presents at least the contact name responsive to the communication. The media device after completion of the communication prevents access to the temporary data stored on the media device.
Dynamic communication management system
A dynamic communication management system manages the exchange of phone-based communications between devices using dynamically determined routing data. The routing for the phone-based communications can be dynamically determined such that certain identifying information is provided to destination devices instead of the identifying information that would be provided without the services of the dynamic communication management system.
Communication System
A method of controlling a call between first and second user terminals, the method comprising: during the call, detecting a failure of a connection between the first user terminal and a packet-switched network; and in response, causing the call to be conducted at least part way via a PSTN network, via a connection between the first user terminal and the PSTN network. The call may be initiated by the first user terminal (such that the first user terminal is the caller and the second is the callee). The call may be initially conducted, prior to the failure, via a packet-switched connection between the first user terminal and a packet-switched network. The method may be implemented by a client application run on the first user terminal. Alternatively, the method may be implemented by a server.
Call control instance changeover
In an example embodiment, a solution is provided that provides multiple call control service instances for each media server instance. When one of the call control service instances needs to be updated, the media server is instructed to direct newly received voice calls to another of the call control instances. The call control service instance to be updated remains operating normally until all voice calls handled by that call control service instance have ended naturally, but any new calls received during that time are directed to one of the other call control service instances. Only once all the voice calls handled by the call control service instance to be updated have ended is that call control service instance actually updated, without having had to disconnect a live call.
Method and apparatus for subgroup call to group members missing a group call
A Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) method includes managing mobile devices in range using temporary identifiers temporarily assigned to each of the mobile devices; receiving a group call grant with a list of required mobile devices for a group call; defining a representation for the required mobile devices based on the required mobile devices' respective temporary identifiers; and broadcasting the group call grant with the representation, wherein the mobile devices utilize the representation to determine if they are required mobile devices for the group call. A mobile device and a group call server are also disclosed.
SECURITY TECHNIQUES FOR RECONNECTING TO A CONFERENCE SESSION USING A COMPUTING DEVICE
A computer-implemented technique can include joining, by a computing device having one or more processors, a conference session hosted by a server via a wireless computing network. In response to joining the conference session, the computing device can receive, from the server via the wireless computing network, a dial-in telephone number for reconnecting to the conference session. The computing device can detect a trigger condition indicative of a need to reconnect to the conference session via a cellular telephone network. In response to detecting the trigger condition, the computing device can initiate a telephone call to the dial-in telephone number via the cellular telephone network. In response to the server obtaining authentication of a caller identification of the computing device, the computing device can rejoin the conference session via the cellular telephone network.
Originating a voice call from a selected number using a temporary routing number
When authorized, a user of a computing device, such as a smart phone, may select an originating phone number to initiate a voice call that is different from the telephone number that is assigned to the computing device. The telephone number that is selected as the originating number may be a number that is assigned to another computing device and/or a different user. In response to receiving a request to place an outgoing call using the selected destination number, the network returns a temporary routing number to the computing device. The computing device places a call to the temporary routing number. After receiving the call at the temporary routing number, the network places the outgoing call using the selected originating number. The outgoing call appears to a called party to originate from the selected originating number instead of from the phone number assigned to the computing device.
Emergency call service for groups of devices with a shared number
Distinct user devices may sometimes share a telephone number. Techniques described herein may provide for the assigning of a temporary telephone number for a user device, which shares a telephone number with other user devices, in certain situations, such as when the user device places a call to an emergency call center. The temporary telephone number may allow the user device to be reached and/or located by the emergency call center.
METHOD FOR HANDLING A CALL, SOFTWARE PRODUCT, AND DEVICE
A method for handling calls to be moved within a system having an unmonitored domain and a monitored domain can include the step of upon first arrival of a call at said unmonitored domain, a context of said call based on a called number, a calling number, and any redirection number(s) included in said call can be provided. Another step of the method can include, for each movement of said call between said unmonitored domain and said monitored domain, providing a unique number to be temporarily used for said particular movement, based on said call context, while avoiding that said unique number is used to move any other call within the system at the same time. An apparatus for can be configured to facilitate performance of the method (e.g. communication system, a device, non-transitory memory, etc.).
