Intelligent call handling and routing based on numbering plan area code
Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to routing decisions implemented in response to data communications. According to a specific example, one or more computer processor circuits are to interface with remotely-situated client entities using a first programming language, and to provide a database of data communications services based on a subscription. In response to receipt of a data communication, client-specific sets of control data can be identified. The client-specific sets of control data are derived from programming instructions received over a message exchange protocol and corresponding to a second programming language that is compatible with the first programming language. Based on the client-specific sets of control data and using a numbering plan area (NPA) code of the received data communication, a nearby extension of the client entity can be identified, and the received data communication can be routed to the nearby extension.

Subscriberless differentiated routing system and method
A differentiated routing system includes a computer-executable system to receive a request from a first network gateway of a native network for establishing a communication service from a calling party terminal to a called party terminal. Upon receipt of the request, the system determines that policy information is not known for the calling party terminal that has originated the request, and therefore append a tag to the request in which the tag indicates that the requested communication service is to be established using one or more generic policies. The generic policies include one or more default policies to be used for establishing the communication service. The system then transmits the request to a routing device, wherein the routing device determines how the communication service is routed through the native network according to the one or more generic policies.

In one aspect, a method may comprise receiving a request for a call session, and the request may include an indicator that may indicate whether to route a call based on origination and/or destination information of the call session. A differentiated routing system includes an electronic service in communication with an ingress gateway that receives a communication service, such as a call from a terminal, over a trunk. The service receives a request from the ingress gateway for establishing a communication service for the calling party terminal. The service obtains information associated with the calling party terminal, which may be based on the trunk and its relationship to a customer, in which the information is to be used for applying at least one of a routing decision and policy decision to the communication service, and appends a tag to the request based on the information. The service may then transmit the request appended with the information to a routing device, which may then use the information when providing the service.

A system, method, and computer program product to accurately route a call is disclosed, by providing a resource interface having one or more interface elements mapping a resource to a call based on current calls and predicted calls, determining a dynamic handling profile from a plurality of dynamic handling profiles that include call information which maps to a resource to provide a ruleset for handling one or more types of call requests, identifying a routing rule comprising one or more routing rules of the ruleset based on caller information, receiving an activation of a resource interface element of the resource interface to initiate a call routing request to forward an assigned call to the resource, and controlling the call routing request according to the routing rule of the dynamic handling profile to perform a call function associated with the assigned call.
Network traffic management at radio-based application pipeline processing servers
At a radio-based application pipeline processing server at which a portion of a distributed unit (DU) of a radio-based application is implemented, a particular networking hardware device is selected from among several devices (which include least one device incorporated within a network function accelerator card and at least one device which is not part of an accelerator card) for transmission of at least a portion of mid-haul traffic to a centralized unit (CU). The mid-haul traffic is transmitted to the CU via the selected device. At least a portion of front-haul traffic is transmitted to a radio unit (RU) via a networking hardware device incorporated within a network function accelerator card of the server.

Voice and video features of a software platform are integrated to enable customization of software services of the software platform on a customer-basis. Routing rules are defined to route calls to certain phone numbers or extensions to certain software services. Thereafter, when a call is received via a telephony system associated with the software platform, a routing rule customized for the software platform is identified based on information signaled with the call, such as a phone number or extension dialed to place the call. A software service is determined based on the routing rule, and the phone is connected with the software system that provides the software service.

A network computer system can respond to a call connection signal by making a determination as to whether the call connection is likely to be supported for at least one of the caller or receiver using a first voice communication medium, as compared to an alternative voice communication medium. Based on the determination, the network computer system can cause the call connection to be established using the voice communication medium of the determination.
