CALL PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a call processing method and device. The method includes: obtaining usage information of a terminal device when receiving a call request from a strange call; determining whether the usage information comprises usage information associated with the strange call; and not intercepting the strange call if the usage information comprises the usage information associated with the strange call.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING A USER OF A MOBILE DEVICE
A method and apparatus for assigning a mobile device that is unassigned to a user are disclosed. Mobile phone numbers are used as a surrogate for device. For example, the method implemented via a processor obtains the phone number that is unassigned from a list of phone numbers associated with a billing account number, assigns the phone number that is unassigned to the user, wherein the user is selected from among a plurality of users associated with the billing account number, determines a confidence level for the assigning of the phone number that is unassigned to the user, and performs an analysis to provide a service for the user to whom the phone number is assigned.
Portable electronic device with proximity-based communication functionality
An electronic device includes a housing and one or more processors. At least one proximity sensor component is operable with the one or more processors and can include an infrared signal receiver to receive an infrared emission from an object external to the housing. The one or more processors can receive, with a communication circuit, an incoming communication from a remote communication device and determine whether a person is within a thermal reception radius of the at least one proximity sensor component. Where the person is not within the thermal reception radius, the one or more processors can perform a control operation in response to receiving the incoming communication.
Method and Apparatus for Implementing Voice Mailbox
A method and an apparatus for implementing a voice mailbox is presented, including receiving a call request that is from a first terminal and whose destination address is a second terminal; sending a call response to the first terminal based on the call request, where the call response is used to instruct a user of the first terminal to leave a voice message; receiving a voice message that is sent by the first terminal after the call response is received; recognizing words in the voice message, to convert the voice message into a word text; and performing, according to the word text, a reply operation with respect to the first terminal or a notification operation with respect to the second terminal.
System and methods for scheduling and optimizing inbound call flow to a call center
A method for providing inbound call reservations to a communication center has steps for monitoring service access points into the communication center by reservation software executing from a machine-readable medium, evaluating communicators and potential communicators, and issuing invitations for reserved communication sessions to qualified communicators and potential communicators, the reserved times coordinated according to data pertaining to predicted communication load and resource availability statistics.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FACILITATING COMPLIANCE WITH VOICE CALL RESTRICTIONS FOR A DEFINED SPACE
A system for facilitating compliance with voice call restrictions for a defined space includes a communication device and a sound pressure level sensor. The communication device includes a processor and is configured to access a communications network associated with the defined space to transmit and receive audio data. The sound pressure level sensor is configured to detect sound levels received by the communication device. The processor is configured to: determine a first sound pressure level associated with sound emanating from a user of the communication device based on input from the sound pressure level sensor; determine a second sound pressure level associated with ambient sound within the defined space; determine an adapted threshold value based on a predetermined threshold value and the second sound pressure level; compare the first sound pressure level to the adapted threshold value; and in response to determining that the first sound pressure level exceeds the adapted threshold value, executing a remedial action on the communication device, wherein the remedial action comprises temporarily disabling the communication device and terminating transmission and reception for the audio data.
