MESSAGE EXCHANGE
Disclosed is a voice message exchange system and method for improving communication between an inmate and a third party by enabling the inmate to leave a message when a call is not answered and further allowing the third party who receives the message to reply with a message to the inmate. Additionally, outside parties that meet the institution's requirements can leave messages for inmates at any time. The present invention can be used as an add-on to legacy inmate call management systems or incorporated internally into an inmate call management system. The system also provides monitoring, controlling, recording, and billing means.
METHOD OF AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING ADAPTIVE RESPONDENT TRAINING IN A SPEECH RECOGNITION APPLICATION
A system for conducting a telephonic speech recognition application includes an automated telephone device for making telephonic contact with a respondent and a speech recognition device which, upon the telephonic contact being made, presents the respondent with at least one introductory prompt for the respondent to reply to; receives a spoken response from the respondent; and performs a speech recognition analysis on the spoken response to determine a capability of the respondent to complete the application. If the speech recognition device, based on the spoken response to the introductory prompt, determines that the respondent is capable of competing the application, the speech recognition device presents at least one application prompt to the respondent. If the speech recognition device, based on the spoken response to the introductory prompt, determines that the respondent is not capable of completing the application, the speech recognition system presents instructions on completing the application to the respondent.
Telephone call placement
A method or apparatus for connecting a telephone call between a vehicle driver and a customer, the method comprising receiving a driver request message from a device associated with the vehicle driver to place a telephone call between the vehicle driver and a customer; using the driver request message to match the vehicle driver with a job allocation record in at least one database and identifying from the record the identity of the customer; retrieving a telephone number relating to the device associated with the vehicle driver and retrieving a customer telephone number from the at least one database; and causing a telephony service to use the telephone numbers to place the telephone call between the vehicle driver and the customer.
Voice Gateway-based Communication Method
Provided is a voice gateway-based communication method applied to a voice gateway and a mobile terminal which are in communication. The voice gateway includes at least two communication links and is capable of establishing communication between the communication links and an external communication network, and the at least two communication links correspond to different communication numbers. The mobile terminal can communicate with outside through the voice gateway, and one mobile terminal can use a plurality of different communication links on the voice gateway to complete voice or data service communication. The communication selection of the mobile terminal is expanded to a greater extent by the voice gateway, which increases the selections of the mobile terminal during communication. That is to say, one mobile terminal can use more numbers to carry out voice communication or data service communication, which satisfies the subscriber's requirement for using a plurality of different numbers.
SPEECH RECOGNITION METHOD OF AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING THE STATUS OF AN ANSWERED TELEPHONE DURING THE COURSE OF AN OUTBOUND TELEPHONE CALL
A system for determining the status of an answered telephone during the course of an outbound telephone call includes an automated telephone calling device for placing a telephone call to a location having a telephone number at which a target person is listed, upon the telephone call being answered, initiating a prerecorded greeting which asks for the target person and receiving a spoken response from an answering person and a speech recognition device for performing a speech recognition analysis on the spoken response to determine a status of the spoken response. If the speech recognition device determines that the answering person is the target person, the speech recognition device initiates a speech recognition application with the target person.
Automatic Call Initiation in Response to Selecting Tags in Electronic Documents and Applications
The present invention provides a telecom control function in a communication terminal. The telecom control function is configured to receive call indicia when a call tag in a software entity, such as an application or electronic document, is selected by a user of the communication terminal. The call indicia provides information associated with a remote party with which a call is being requested by the user. The telecom control function may use the call indicia along with user indicia obtained from the user and indirectly establish a call with the remote party using a telephony terminal other than the communication terminal. If the communication terminal includes a telecommunication client capable of supporting a call, the telecom control function may instruct the telecommunication client to directly initiate the call with the remote party using the call indicia.
LTE Cellular Mobile Network Access System and Corresponding Communication Method
An LTE cellular mobile network access system and a corresponding communication method are provided. The system includes a SIM card interface device, a mobile terminal, and a NRS accessing to a domestic cellular mobile network. The SIM card interface device is configured to hold a SIM card and forward authentication information of the SIM card to the NRS via the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal is in communication with the NRS via the Internet and is configured to register on the NRS and transmit signaling data and voice data to the NRS. The NRS is configured to establish a standard S1 connection with the domestic cellular mobile network and transmit the signaling data and the voice data to the domestic cellular mobile network.
Hold time reducer
The system allows a consumer to shortcut through a call queue to reach a human agent faster. For phone or voice-based calls that require a consumer wait on hold, the system can give that consumer an accurate estimate of the wait time and allow them to skip all or some of it. It does this by using automated processes to proactively dial and wait in those call queues, measuring their time in queue. A new consumer making an incoming call can then join the call queue occupied by of those automated processes, shortcutting the consumer past all or some of the wait time.
