ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE
An abdominal exercise device includes a frame comprising top, middle, and bottom frame sections. The middle frame section has a curved shape for creating a teeter-totter movement during exercise. The device includes a headrest connected to the bottom frame section, a plurality of connectors for connecting elastic bands to the frame, and an elastic band connected to at least two connectors. The two ends of the elastic band are connected to two straps. The device creates the teeter-totter movement to exercise the abdominal muscles in response to a person lying down in supine position with the back of the head on the headrest and the feet in the two straps, the person applying a downward pressure with the feet to the straps to move the headrest from a resting position, and the person removing the downward pressure to allow the headrest to go back to the resting position.
Exercise machine inclination device
An exercise machine inclination device for providing variable exercise intensity on an exercise machine by inclining the exercise machine. The exercise machine inclination device generally includes a base adapted for being positioned upon a floor, a support structure adapted for supporting the exercise machine, a hinge pivotally connecting the base and the support structure and an actuator connected between the base and the support structure, wherein the actuator adjusts an angle of the support structure.
ELASTIC EXERCISE BAND
An elastic exercise band, including a main body, including a first section to receive a first portion of a body of a user thereon and resist at least partially deforming in response to an application of force thereto, and a second section disposed on at least a portion of the first section to receive a second portion of the body of the user thereon and resist at least partially deforming in response to the application of force thereto, and a plurality of surface linings disposed on at least a portion of the first section and the second section to prevent the first section and the second section from sliding away from the body of the user during exercise.
End platform for an exercise machine
An end platform for an exercise machine for increased support of an exerciser's spine, neck and head which allows for an expanded scope of exercises that cannot otherwise be performed on the machine without the improved platform. The end platform for an exercise machine generally includes a novel, ergonomically improved stationary platform affixed to at least one opposed end of a substantially longitudinal exercise machine that includes at least a resistance biased reciprocating platform. The improved end platform provides for increased support of exercisers' spine, neck and head, thereby allowing for an expanded scope of exercises that cannot otherwise be performed on the machine without the improved platform, and further provides for the attachment of new and novel exercise equipment accessories to the exercise machine.
Exercise apparatus including weight bar
An apparatus is provided for use in resistance training. The apparatus may include a bar with pulley hubs on its ends. The apparatus may further include two slings, each including connectors and a rigid, straight or arc-shaped bar. The slings may be suspended from the pulley hubs and support an elastic band, which may provide resistance during exercise. A footplate may also be provided to hold part of the band to the floor during use.
Exercise apparatus
A connector for a resistance band for strength training includes: a first connector configured for attachment to an end portion of an elastic, elongate first cable of the resistance band; and a second connector configured for attachment to an end portion of an elastic, elongate second cable of the resistance band and configured to detachably couple to the first connector. Each of the first and second connectors includes a pair of male mating features, and a pair of female mating features configured for removable receipt of the respective pair of male mating features.
SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR PERFORMING EXERCISES
A supporting device for performing exercises is disclosed. The device comprises of a mounting panel that may be clamped to bottom sides of doors using an adhesive. A support plate may be pivotably connected to the mounting panel using a hinged connector. A locking mechanism for adjusting the angle between the support plate and the mounting panel may be provided. Herein, the locking mechanism may lock the support plate at one or more angles with respect to the mounting panel. A cylindrical support bar may be mounted on the bottom side of the support plate for providing a primary support for a user performing exercise. Further, a rope and pulley mechanism mounted on the top side of the support plate may provide a secondary support for the user performing exercise.
Portable devices for exercising muscles in the ankle, foot, and/or leg, and related methods
A portable exercise device includes a pedal spaced away from and pivotably connected to a base and having a neutral position relative to a pivot axis. The pedal is configured to rotate about the pivot axis in a first direction toward the base and in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward the base. The device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to exert a force on the pedal about the pivot axis in a direction opposite to the respective direction of rotation of the pedal. The device is movable between an open, in-use configuration, where the pedal is disposed in the neutral position to receive a foot and spaced away from the base, and a closed configuration, where the pedal is adjacent the base.
EXERCISE DEVICE AND PRELOADED RESISTANCE PACK
A preloaded resistance pack and exercise device. The resistance pack includes an elastomeric resistance element coupled to a hub and disposed on a plate. The hub includes a pair of radially extending wings that lie against a surface of the plate. The plate includes a pair of raised tabs that lie within a rotational path of the wings. An initial rotation of the hub relative to the plate causes the wings to slide over and beyond the raised tabs and at least partially stretches the resistance element. Interaction between the tabs and wings prevents the hub from rotating back to an initial position and maintains the resistance element in a preloaded, tensioned condition. The exercise device is configured to detect a number of the resistance packs coupled thereto as well as data associated with exercise movements employing the resistance packs.
BODY STRETCH POSE ASSISTING STRAP AND RELATED METHOD
A body stretch pose assisting strap is elongated and flexible and configured to be wrapped around a portion of an arm or leg of a user. A fastener is associated with the strap for selectively attaching and detaching the strap to the arm or leg of the user. A grip loop extends from the strap, enabling the user to hold the loop while performing a body stretch or pose.
