Squat machine
Implementations of squat machines may include a seat coupled to a platform, a first foot brace directly coupled to the platform, a second foot brace directly coupled to the platform, a knee brace post coupled to and extending perpendicularly away from a first surface of the platform, a knee brace arm directly coupled to the knee brace post and extending perpendicularly away from a longest length of the knee brace post, and a knee brace directly coupled to the knee brace arm. The knee brace may be configured to contact the front of either a user's knees or shins while performing a squat exercise. The seat may be configured to temporarily contact a buttocks of a user while performing the squat exercise.
Exercise bar with dynamically rotating hand grips
An exercise bar assembly includes a pair of rotating grip assemblies, each including a generally planar frame and a hand grip mounted within the frame for rotation within in the plane of the frame. The rotating grip assemblies are attachable to opposite ends of a center bar assembly along the longitudinal axis of the bar assembly. A plate bar assembly is attachable to each of the rotating grip assemblies opposite the center rod, with the plate bar assembly aligned with the longitudinal axis to form a weight lifting bar. A user-selectable elastic band is engageable between the pair of rotating grip assemblies along the longitudinal axis so that the elastic band resists rotation of each hand grip in each of the rotating grip assemblies. The rotating grip assemblies of the exercise bar assembly allow for the full range of motion of the bicep, and the elastic band creates a resistance exercise through the bicep's full range of motion.
PORTABLE REHAB STATION WITH STANDING ASSIST
A portable rehab station includes a frame having left and right frame members that have bottom ends; left and right outriggers, each having a forward end and a rearward end, the left and right outriggers being connected at the bottom ends of the respective left and right frame members; a front, ground-engageable caster connected to the forward end of each of the left and right outriggers and a rear, ground-engageable caster connected to the rearward end of each of the left and right outriggers; and a standing assist apparatus including a leg brace and connection means for variably connecting the leg brace to the frame members and at variable heights relative to the bottom ends of the frame members.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND APPARATUSES FOR RECIPROCAL MUSCLE ACTIVATION AND RELEASE
In various embodiments, an apparatus for exercising can include a housing, a first inner tube, a second inner tube, and a compression spring operable to resist motion when compressed. The first inner tube is coupled with a first end of the compression spring and the second inner tube is coupled with a second end of the compression spring. In addition, the apparatus can also include an extension spring inside the housing. Furthermore, a portion of the compression spring and a portion of each of the first and second inner tubes are inside the housing. Note that a first end of the extension spring is coupled with a first handle or loop and the second end of the extension spring is coupled with a second handle or loop. The extension spring is operable to provide resistance during pulling motion away from center of the apparatus.
Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
Exercise machine support system
An exercise machine support system for providing increased versatility including inclination or declination of an exercise surface, a reduction in the overall length and width of the exercise machine, and an enhanced user interface which reduces the risk of injury. The exercise machine support system generally includes a cantilevered exercise machine which is adapted to have a variable angle of incline or decline with respect to a horizontal ground surface. The exercise machine will generally include a base and a support which extends between the base and the exercise machine. The upper end of the support is connected to the exercise machine by a first pivot such that the exercise machine pivots about the support. An adjustment device may be utilized to pivot the exercise machine and thus adjust its angle of incline. Various types of adjustment devices are disclosed, including an actuator, ratchet-and-pawl, gears, and cam.
Fitness Device And Exercise Method For Generating Opposing Muscle Resistance
A fitness device contains a strap, a handle, and a plate. The strap is substantially inelastic and flexible. The plate is substantially rigid. The handle at least partially envelopes the strap. A method of exercising with such a fitness device is also described herein. Other fitness devices and other methods of use are also described herein.
LEG AND HIP EXERCISE DEVICE
The present invention relates to an exercise method and an exercise device for performing an exercise suitable for thigh and hip muscles like fitness equipment or an exercise bicycle, and more particularly, to an exercise method and an exercise device for strengthening thigh and hip muscles by performing a movement of lowering legs and then moving the legs backward or putting the legs together or apart from a position of pulling the legs toward a chest of the user with an arm disposed between the legs in a sitting or lying position of the user. In addition, the present invention relates to a leg exercise device including a trajectory measuring device of generating motion range information of the exercise device and making the motion range information as data through a motion range measurement sensor attached to a knee and a hip joint of the user seated on the exercise device, smart device and an application of the smart device.
Weightlifting machine
A weightlifting machine that includes a pulley system and a cable system that attaches to a weight rack frame to allow a user to perform a weightlifting exercise. The pulley system may include a first pulley and a second pulley where the cable system engages each pulley. The cable system may have a first end connected to a grip attachment and a second end attached to a resistance element. The resistance element may include a resistance band, a weight support that holds a weight plate, a set of weight plates, or other type of resistance element. The cable system may extend from the pulley through an opening located one of the frame members that form the frame.
