Door-Knocking For Teleconferencing
A method for teleconferencing between a monitoring device and a user device includes establishing an audio channel connection between the user device and the monitoring device of a remote user; displaying an entry code on a display of the monitoring device; obtaining from a user of the monitoring device a verbal confirmation of the entry code; and, in response to receiving the entry code from the remote user, enabling a camera of the monitoring device. In response to the verbal confirmation, the entry code is sent to the remote user. Enabling the camera of the monitoring device establishes an audio-visual connection between the user device and the monitoring device.
METHOD OF INTEGRATING TELEPHONE DEVICE AND CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC CONFERENCE
A method of integrating a telephone device and controlling the electronic conference is provided. The method enables the existing telephone device to participate in an electronic conference, the microphone of the telephone device to function as an audio input device, and the speaker of the telephone device to function as an audio output device. With the method of the present invention, the existing telephone device can control the electronic conference without another computer device or electronic device. Therefore, a new application for the existing telephone device is provided.
AUTOMATED ASSISTANTS WITH CONFERENCE CAPABILITIES
Techniques are described related to enabling automated assistants to enter into a “conference mode” in which they can “participate” in meetings between multiple human participants and perform various functions described herein. In various implementations, an automated assistant implemented at least in part on conference computing device(s) may be set to a conference mode in which the automated assistant performs speech-to-text processing on multiple distinct spoken utterances, provided by multiple meeting participants, without requiring explicit invocation prior to each utterance. The automated assistant may perform semantic processing on first text generated from the speech-to-text processing of one or more of the spoken utterances, and generate, based on the semantic processing, data that is pertinent to the first text. The data may be output to the participants at conference computing device(s). The automated assistant may later determine that the meeting has concluded, and may be set to a non-conference mode.
Joining users to communications via voice commands
Techniques for joining a device of a third user to a communication between a device of a first user and a device of a second user are described herein. For instance, two or more users may utilize respective computing devices to engage in a telephone call, a video call, an instant-messaging session, or any other type of communication in which the users communicate with each other audibly and/or visually. In some instances, a first user of the two users may issue a voice command requesting to join a device of a third user to the communication. One or more computing devices may recognize this voice command and may attempt to join a device of a third user to the communication.
SOCIAL NETWORKING-BASED TELECONFERENCING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for creating and posting voice messages via a social networking service. A social networking service includes a website for receiving a voice message, post the voice message to the social networking service by storing the voice message as an audio file to a server, and transmit the post to a mobile device each associated with a follower of the social networking service. A client application running on each mobile device receives a notification of the post from the social networking service, and includes a control interface to enable an associated follower to access the voice message.
Notification bot for topics of interest on voice communication devices
A method and system are provided. The method includes automatically monitoring one or more voice communication sessions occurring on multiple communication devices to transcribe into text, by a processor-based voice-to-text transcriber, voices uttered by two or more respective participants other than a user in each of the voice communications sessions. The method further includes comparing, for each of the voice communication sessions, the topic of interest to conversation features derived from the text to detect a match there between. The method also includes providing the user with a summary of each of the voice communication sessions for which the match has been detected by said comparing step, the summary being based on the text. The method additionally includes automatically connecting the user to at least one of the voice communication sessions for which the summary thereof has been provided to the user.
Systems and methods for integrated audioconferencing
Systems and methods for integrated audioconferencing social media music streaming may include (1) detecting that a user of a messaging application, which enables audioconferencing between its users, has selected a drop-in mode that enables audioconferencing between (i) the user and (ii) other users with access to a drop-in link corresponding to the user, (2) providing the drop-in link to contacts of the user in a messaging interface of the messaging application, and (3) in response to determining that a contact of the user has selected the drop-in link, automatically initiating an audioconference between the user and the contact. Systems, apparatuses, and methods for enabling communication between parties are disclosed. A system may include a first communication device associated with a first user and a second communication device associated with a second user. The system may include a first communication channel between the first user and the second user for transmitting call data between the first communication device and the second communication device. The system may include a second communication channel between the first user and the second user established concurrently with the first communication channel. The second communication channel may be separate from the first communication channel. The second communication channel may be established by connection of the communication session participants to a multipoint control unit that is configured to transmit media data between the first communication device and the second communication device. The system allows transmission of one or more types of call data to be switched between the first and second communication channels.
Systems and methods for virtual meetings
Audio data associated with one of a plurality of users of a virtual meeting hosted by a virtual meeting application is received. The audio data is analyzed to identify another user of the virtual meeting. If another user is identified in the analyzed audio data, a setting of the virtual meeting application is adjusted to enable a client device for the identified user to receive audio input so as to facilitate a dialog among the users of the virtual meeting.
