A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for providing a communications service in a communications network are disclosed. For example, the method monitors a conference call, detects a triggering event during the conference call registered for a particular user, wherein the particular user is not a participant in the conference call, and notifies the particular user of the triggering event.

A conference system including a first communication apparatus, a second communication apparatus, and an information processing apparatus is provided. When the processor receives a participation notification to participate in the conference from an information terminal via the first communication apparatus having a first communication range that covers the conference area of the conference and receives a notification from the second communication apparatus that the information terminal is located within a second communication range of the second communication apparatus, the processor implements a process of extending the conference area of the conference to include an extended area covered by the second communication range of the second communication apparatus.

A communication system comprising a plurality of terminals, comprising: a start request information obtaining unit that obtains information for requesting start of a session between a first terminal and a second terminal of the plurality of terminals; a session management unit that establishes the session in accordance with the start request information; a participation request information obtaining unit that obtains participation request information with which a third terminal of the plurality of terminals requests participating in the already established session; and a participation determination unit that allows the third terminal to participate or prohibit the third terminal from participating in the already established session, wherein when the participation determination unit allows participation in the already established session, the session management unit lets the third terminal to participate in the already established session.

A system and method for creating teleconferences that leverage social networking websites and messaging thereof. The system includes a teleconferencing website hosted on a server for scheduling a teleconference in response to user input, and for generating a message for display on a social networking website. The message includes information about the teleconference and a link to one or more invitees to the teleconference. The system further includes an interactive voice response system for hosting the teleconference to connect at least some of the one or more invitees to the teleconference. The system further includes a client application running on a mobile device associated with each of the at least some of the one or more invitees. The client application receives a notification of the teleconference from the social networking website, and includes a control interface to enable an associated invitee to join the teleconference.

A method for adding a call from a second client to a videoconference; wherein a call from at least a first client is connected to the videoconference, the call from the first client comprising first call control data and first call media data; wherein the call from the second client comprises second call control data and second call media data; and wherein a first node in a videoconferencing network handles the first call media data; the method comprising: handling the second call control data at a second node of the videoconferencing network; determining whether at least one criterion is satisfied; and in the event that at least one criterion is satisfied, diverting the second call media data to the first node of the videoconferencing network.

A method and an apparatus for switching a multi-party call, and a terminal are provided. The method includes detecting whether a multi-party call realized on a current network side needs to be switched to a multi-party call realized on a terminal, or a multi-party call realized on a current terminal needs to be switched to a multi-party call realized on a network side; and the multi-party call realized on a terminal and the multi-party call realized on a network side can be switched to each other based on the detection result. A method includes receiving, at a meeting server, a first input from a first computing device associated with a first user; identifying, at the meeting server, a second user who is connected to an in-progress meeting using the first input; transmitting an access request message from the meeting server to a computing device associated with the second user; and in response to receiving a positive response to the access request message at the meeting server from the second computing device, granting the first user access to the in-progress meeting.
