Media stream sending method and apparatus, and device
A media stream sending method provides a live media stream for a client that enters a live broadcast room. A proxy server receives, from a first client, a first live broadcast room request message for requesting to enter the live broadcast room; the proxy server determines a role of the first client based on the first live broadcast room request message; and if the role of the first client is a slave user, the proxy server sends a first live media stream cached in the proxy server to the first client, where the first live media stream is a media stream that is sent by a media server to a second client through the proxy server, and a role of the second client is a master user.
METHOD FOR USING AUTOMATIC COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT, METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT, AND TERMINAL USING SAME
Embodiments discussed herein relate to automatic communication management, such as automated closure of a communication in circumstances where establishment of the communication is accidental, particularly from mobile terminals. A method of use of automatic communication management is disclosed. The method can include a triggering, following establishment of a communication between at least a communication terminal of the user and at least one other communication terminal, an activated automatic communication management which enables triggering of a closure of the established communication in progress as a function of the detected vocal sound level on at least one audio stream of the established communication in progress. In this way, if establishment of the communication is detected as being unintentional because of the vocal sound level of the communication, the communication will be closed.
System and method for managing incoming requests for a communication session using a graphical connection metaphor
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for presenting a selected media message to a first user. The method includes displaying via a graphical user interface (GUI) a notification associated with a request from a first user for a communication with a second user in the context of a graphical representation of a communication session including at least the second user, receiving a second user input identifying a selected action associated with the first user via the GUI, and performing the selected action relative to the first user. The second user can be notified of the incoming request via a communication session displayed as a set of graphical elements representing a structure of the communication session via the GUI. The first and/or second user can be a communication session of multiple users.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING SETUP AND JOINING OF CONFERENCE CALLS
A system for managing a conference call, the system comprising a call answering server configured to receive a call from an attendee device that has been forwarded from a host device, identify a conference call associated with the host device for the attendee device to join, receive a request from the attendee device to join the conference call, and connect the attendee device to the conference call.
Video conferencing system and method
A method and computing system for generating a temporal timebase that temporally-associates one or more portions of a video associated with a videoconference with one or more data events defined via a viewer application. A specific portion of the video associated with the video conference is rendered, wherein the specific portion is chosen from the one or more portions. The temporal timebase is accessed to identify a specific data event, chosen from the one or more data events, that is temporally-associated with the specific portion of the video associated with the video conference. The specific data event may be rendered within the viewer application.
Using physical gestures to initiate call transfers between devices
Various technologies described herein pertain to using detected physical gestures to cause calls to transfer between client devices. A physical gesture between a first client device and a second client device can be detected (e.g., utilizing the first client device, the second client device, a disparate client-side device, a server, etc.). The first client device participates in a call, while the second client device is not participating in the call at a time of the detection of the physical gesture. Responsive to detection of the physical gesture, participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated. Participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated by causing the call to transfer from the first client device to the second client device or causing the second client device to join the call while the first client device continues to participate in the call.
Apparatus and method for telephone call processing
A telephone call processing apparatus for a telephone system includes an exchange for receiving incoming telephone calls and switching said calls to selected respective agent workstations. The apparatus includes a routing function for connecting an incoming call from a caller to an agent workstation, and initiating a call from said apparatus to an external application platform, said call including data to enable a transaction call to be set up between said caller and said external application platform. A holding function maintains a call leg connection with said agent workstation whilst said call from said apparatus to said external application platform is initiated. A connection function connects a call from said external application platform to said agent workstation and establishing or maintaining a connection between said caller and said agent workstation for use whilst said transaction call is connected.
Communication System
There is provided a method comprising: rendering, on a first area of a display controlled by a user terminal, visual data associated with a user participating in a call; determining that the user's connection to the call has ended; determining whether or not the ending of the connection is deliberate; and retaining the area of the display for the user for a predetermined amount of time in dependence on the determination of whether or not the ending of the connection is deliberate.
Sound Modification for Close Proximity Shared Communications Path Devices
Systems and methods are provided for attenuating a communications channel on one or more speakerphones which are located in close physical proximity to one another and which are being used on the same call.
Far-end initiated mid-call notification via ring-ping
Placing a call on hold provides advantages to the party initiating the hold. The party may engage in another call or perform another action and return to the call when convenient, provided the party placed on hold is still on the call. The party on hold monitors the inactive call and waits until the call is reactivated. The party on hold is provided with a means to alert the other party via a session initiation protocol (SIP) message formatted as a ring-ping message. The message is sent to the party who placed the call on hold and the user's device activates an indicator, such as to alert the holding party that the held party wishes to re-engage the call. If the holding party does not un-hold the call or otherwise acknowledge the ring-ping indicator, another action can be initiated, such as by inviting another party to join the call.
