An agent presence application for monitoring target agent resources and rendering agent states to subscribing applications is provided. The presence application has at least one first portion for collecting data regarding states of activity of the target agent resources, and at least one second portion for integrating the data and rendering the agent states to the to subscribing applications.

When an incoming call is received from a customer, various aspects may include receiving an indication of availability from several call agents within a computer-telephony integration system and presenting the indications of availability and identification information for each of the call agents on a display. A user control for searching the call agents may also be presented on the display for use by a first call agent to view an indication of availability for a particular call agent. The customer call may then be transferred from the first call agent to the particular call agent in response to the indication of availability identifying the particular call agent as available.

An apparatus for marking electronic messages includes an identity module that determines an identity of a device user attempting to send an electronic message from an electronic communication device of an authorized user and a verification module that verifies that the device user is an authorized proxy user. The apparatus includes a marking module that marks the electronic message being sent with an identifier in response to verifying that the device user is an authorized proxy user. The identifier signifies that the electronic message is from the authorized proxy user, and the identifier is in addition to an identifier associated with the authorized user.

The present invention relates to a method and system for creating one or more user accounts with at least a first communication service provider, wherein a first user places a request with a processing server, selects a telephone number from a plurality of proposed numbers, said selected number becoming the identifier of the user account. The invention also relates to a method and system for establishing a communication link between a first user and a second user wherein the first user logs in with the selected telephone number to the first communication service provider and initiates a communication, of the telephone type, with a second user.

Systems, methods and non-transitory computer readable media for allowing a user to switch between watches that have been paired with a device such as a smartphone are described. In one embodiment, the watches automatically detect a removal of a first watch from a user's wrist and an attachment of a second watch to the user's wrist. Messages from the watches are transmitted to the device to allow the device to switch the active watch from the first watch to the second watch. The switch can occur while the device is in a locked state, and the device can synchronize the second watch with data received from the first watch. Other embodiments are also described.

A computer-implemented method for securing access to a host site. The method includes creating, using a processor system, an access code for access to a user account hosted by the host site and providing, using the processor system, the access code to the host site, the access code including user provided images in a defined sequence. The method also includes creating, using the processor system, an access attempt code for access to the user account hosted by the host site and transmitting, by the processor system, the access attempt code to the host site. Based on a determination that the access attempt code matches the access code, the method includes accessing, using the processor system, the user account hosted by the host site.

A transmission system includes a first transmission terminal and a second transmission terminal. The second transmission terminal includes a pairing unit to perform pairing between the first and the second transmission terminals, and a transmitting unit to transmit, upon receipt of a communications start request from a third transmission terminal, information specifying communications with the third transmission terminal and individual account information of the second transmission terminal to the first transmission terminal on which the pairing is performed. The present disclosure is directed to a method and system for routing communications. A plurality of communication devices are coupled, via a shared common (interface) communication device, to a communications network. Each such communication device has a device identifier. A user-programmable database associates each of a plurality of user identifiers with a device identifier. A call-routing switch arrangement is coupled to the communication network through a portal communication device having a portal identifier. A user designates a destination user identifier when making a communication. The call-routing switches the call, directing the call to a destination device identifier responsive to the user-programmable database association between the destination user identifier and a device identifier. According to certain aspects, communications are directed to users and are routed to associated equipment, a user identifier serving as a virtual extension number. Users remotely program the database to direct their calls accordingly.
