Abdominal twist exercise device
An abdominal twist exercise device includes a device frame, front and rear rotational axles, a main handle bar, a rotation converter, an adjustable gear, a disengaging lever, a weight, a weight bar, a support rail, a safety handle bar, rotation counters, and a user platform, such that when the main handle bar rotates to one side, the user platform rotates to an opposing side. A rotation converter can include a front chain sprocket, an intermediate rotational axle, an intermediate chain sprocket, a roller chain, an intermediate gear, a rear gear; or a front belt sprocket, a rear belt sprocket, and a twisted belt, connecting the sprockets. Optionally, the front and rear axles can be telescoping.
HORIZONTAL ROWING MACHINE
The present invention is a horizontal rowing machine having a frame with a removable seat, adjustably mounted on the frame and an adjustable chest pad. The present invention has angled foot plates. The foot plates enable the user to use the machine in various positions. The present invention has two fixed multi-grip handles with 8 fixed hand positions and 6 positions on which to attach swivel handles. The swivel handles allow for a more natural and free form rowing movement. Maximal adjustability of all aspects of the machine allow for a more optimal and beneficial training exercise for any user, regardless of body size. The user can lift a desired weight by pulling the handles.
Exercise apparatus with a user controlled, gravity operated shifting mechanism
An exercise apparatus is provided where a user selectively changes the amount of effort required to operate the machine on demand without interrupting the workout. A manual shifting process allows the user to selectively change the amount of resistance with the gravity included positioning of a resistance weight on a lever arm.
Exercise Weight Selection Device and Method
A resistance component configured for imparting a resistive force to a connected exercise component is provided. The device includes a frame pivotally supporting a selection arm which has a weight operatively connected to the selection arm by a pin arm. The weight imparts a force resisting rotation of the selection arm by a flexible member engaged with the exercise component. Adjusting the engagement of one end of the pin arm to an arched engagement path along the selection arm adjusts mechanical advantage and the resistive force.
Core exercise apparatus and methods
A dual-mode exercise apparatus may include an articulating arm assembly coupled through a joint to a support assembly. In an illustrative embodiment, the arm assembly may include a seat centrally mounted above a ball-and-socket joint and a stabilizer member for the hands and/or feet of the user. In a first mode of operation a user sits on the seat and uses his or her core muscles to articulate the seat on the ball-and-socket joint against the resistance provided by, for instance, weights mounted on distal portions of the arm assembly. In certain embodiments the apparatus may further provide a second mode of operation which simulates rowing a kayak. In a corresponding illustrative embodiment a user sits in a second seat positioned rearward of the arm assembly and the arm assembly includes handle members. In operation the user articulates the handles in a manner akin to rowing a kayak.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL KINETIC MECHANISM
A multifunctional kinetic mechanism includes a base including a slant tube, a counterweight unit including a joint shaft rotatably connected to the slant tube of the base, a barbell shaft having a first end piece connected to the joint shaft and a second end piece opposite to the first end piece and a counterweight attached to the second end piece of the barbell shaft, and an operating unit including a main frame, a sleeve located at the front side of the main frame and sleeved onto the second end piece of the barbell shaft, two grips respectively pivotally mounted at the opposing rear side of the main frame and two shoulder cushion pads mounted at the bottom side of the main frame between the sleeve and the two grips. Thus, the user can operate the operating unit to move the barbell shaft to train different muscle groups.
Exercise device
An exercise machine in the form of a stationary rigid metal construction is provided, which includes a support frame having an axle. The axle is provided on the outer side of levers. The levers are pivotally mounted on the uprights of the support frame. Limiters for limiting the movement of a weight are in the form of transverse connections between the levers and are installed on both sides of the axle. A load guide is provided between the limiters and is in the form of a bent rod having two rectilinear portions and an arc. A limiter of lever position is in the form of a U-shaped frame and is affixed to the levers. A bench is mounted on the support frame.
Adjustable Carriage Assembly for Weight Rack
An adjustable carriage assembly is configured to be mounted on a frame member of a weight rack and includes a locking structure for locking the carriage assembly in place on the frame member. The carriage assembly may include a moveable carriage with a plurality of rollers that engage the frame member, as well as one or more handles for gripping to adjust the position of the carriage assembly and a connection structure for connection of an implement or accessory. Various implements and accessories can be connected to or used in connection with the carriage assembly, including various weightlifting implements and accessories that are pivotably connected to the carriage assembly.
Weight training machines
A weight training machine for allowing at least two of a user's muscle groups to push or pull simultaneously in a synchronized and unified fashion, having at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism; a first actuating means operatively connected to the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism for allowing actuation of the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism by a first of the user's muscle groups, and a second actuating means operatively connected to the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism for allowing actuation of the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism by a second of the user's muscle groups, wherein actuation of both the first actuating means and the second actuation means simultaneously acts upon and or resists against the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism. One embodiment is an exercise machine and a drive or actuating mechanism with a lever and fulcrum configuration. The fulcrum has an attached handle, arm, lever or platform means, bearings for operatively cooperating with an axle and/or the lever, and attachment means for additional actuating member or members being operatively connected to the axle. The lever has a means for contact with the user and a weight means for providing a counterweight to the weight of the user, as well as attachment means for operatively connecting with the fulcrum and/or axle. The actuating member or members are attached to the fulcrum, preferably pivotally, and comprise linkages to the axle and/or lever so as to be able to transfer force from the user to the lever. Other embodiments include weight training machines having a moment arm weight, weight stack, or weight plate weight resistance mechanism for creating a weight resistance or weight load.
