A testing method for testing mobile communication devices comprises transmitting, by a testing front end module, a testing profile associated with a Universal Integrated Circuit Card, UICC, to a mobile communication device, activating the testing profile on the mobile communication device, setting, by a testing controller, the configuration of the mobile communication device to a testing mode according to the information of the activated testing profile of the UICC, and performing operational tests on the mobile communication device using a testing front end module of a testing system while the configuration of the mobile communication device is set to the testing mode.
Subscription Management
A method for managing subscriptions on a security element for a mobile end device comprises the following steps: for each subscription of a plurality of subscriptions a quality of service is determined. On the basis of the qualities of service determined for the individual subscriptions a subscription is selected. The selected subscription is subsequently employed for a data communication of the end device with a corresponding communication partner. The method is wherein the managing of the subscriptions is controlled at least partly by an external subscription management device which is distinct from the security element and the end device.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PROVISIONING DEVICES TO UTILIZE SERVICES OF MOBILE NETWORK OPERATORS
A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method for facilitating, at a system including at least one processor, establishment of a communication session with a device coupled to a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) by way of network equipment of a default Mobile Network Operator (MNO), receiving, at the system, information descriptive of an MNO selection, selecting, at the system, from a database of credentials of a plurality of MNOs first credential information according to the received information, wherein the first credential information is associated with a first MNO of the plurality of MNOs, and transmitting, from the system, the first credential information to the UICC over the communication session by way of the device to cause the UICC to facilitate establishment of communications with network equipment of the first MNO according to the first credential information. SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTHENTICATING CALLS FOR A CALL CENTER
Disclosed embodiments may include a method for authenticating calls for a call center where the user can authenticate before or after starting a call to a call center using an application on a user device. The system determines what level of authentication is necessary depending on the task the user wants to accomplish during the call. The system may direct the user to provide credentials, such as a username and password, for some tasks. Other tasks may require the user to verify their financial card by taking a photo of their financial card or tapping their financial card to their device and allow the device to interact with the financial card using NFC technology. Once appropriately authenticated, the system then allows the user to make a call to the call center and also sends a signal to the call center that the user has been previously authenticated.
