DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CHANNEL AND/OR TALKGROUP ASSIGNMENTS
A device, system and method for managing channel and/or talkgroup assignments is provided. A memory stores: a first list of channels associated with a device identifier of a mobile device; and a second list of channels associated with: a user identifier of a user; and attributes of the user. A controller: receives, via a communications unit, from the mobile device, the user identifier indicating a log-in to the mobile device by the user; selects a subset of the first list of channels, to be temporarily assigned to the mobile device when the user is logged into the mobile device, based on the attributes of the user; and transmits, via the communications unit, to the mobile device, a combined list that includes the subset of the first list of channels, and the second list of channels, to enable the mobile device to communicate using channels in the combined list.
Terminal implementing a communication method, and server implementing a method for establishing a communication between two terminals
Methods and devices for establishing a communication between a first and a second terminal are described. The disclosed technology can be implemented in or by a server or a terminal in communication with the server. The first terminal can to the server, using a first calling identity, a request including connection information and an identifier of the first terminal. Using the identifier, the server can obtain from a database a pair of calling identities including one certified and one non-certified, the pair comprising the first calling identity and a second calling identity. The server can determine, from one of the calling identities and from the connection information, a connectivity mode of the terminal, and determine a routable number on which the terminal can send a communication to the server. The server can route the communication towards the second terminal by presenting a calling identity of the pair and sending the routable number to the first terminal.
Short message service (SMS) with geographic data for user equipment (UE)
A Short Message Service Center (SMSC) receives a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message transferred User Equipment (UE). The SIP message has a Private Access Network Information (PANI) header with geographic data for the UE and also has a Short Message Service (SMS) message from the UE. The SMSC determines when a destination code from the SMS message indicates an emergency SMS message. When the emergency SMS message is indicated, the SMSC transfers an emergency Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) message for delivery to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) gateway. The emergency SMPP message has the geographic data for the UE and also has the emergency SMS message. The PSAP gateway selects a PSAP for the UE based on the geographic data in the SMPP message and transfers the emergency SMS message to the selected PSAP.
Method and system for least cost routing (LCR) of international mobile telephone calls with an integrated money transfer facility
A method and system for least cost routing for mobile telephone calls between the United States and Mexico in such a way so that the call is separated into several call legs and the international portion or call leg is routed via a low-cost or no-cost route independently of the local call legs, essentially achieving an international call with local call rates. This uses a SIM card that automatically identifies any incoming or outgoing call and provides the ability to convert the call from an expensive international and/or roaming call to a local (free) call. Several slight variations are disclosed, and all embodiments have an integrated money transfer service that can be used with a very simple low-cost basic mobile phone using IVR, SMS and voice recognition, or can be accessed via the web or via a smartphone app.
Machine learning-based troubleshooting of VoLTE calls
A VoLTE diagnostic engine may receive VoLTE call records of VoLTE calls that are carried by a wireless carrier network for multiple user devices. The VoLTE call records may include performance indicators and call features for the voice calls. Each call feature of a VoLTE call may represent a circumstance under which the VoLTE call is established and ended. The VoLTE diagnostic engine may apply a decision tree to the VoLTE call records to identify critical features of one or more call conditions that lead to Quality of Experience (QoE) problems for the VoLTE calls captured in the VoLTE call records. Each call condition may include a subset of the call features. Further, the VoLTE diagnostic engine may apply a classifier on the critical features to determine a root cause of a QoE problem for at least one call conditions.
Methods and devices for detecting and correlating data packet flows in a lawful interception system
The following disclosure relates a method and mediation device (100) in a Lawful Interception (LI) system for detecting and correlating copies of SIP and RTP flows, from different domains EPS or IMS, said method comprising to determine a unique IMS Communication Identity Number, IMS CIN, and a corresponding correlation set of identifiers, storing each unique IMS CIN together with its correlation set for an intercepted communication session, correlating a SIP or RTP flow received from one domain to the same SIP or RTP flows of the same communication session received from the other domain by comparing the flow identity information of the received flow to the stored correlation sets for identifying a matching correlation set and its unique IMS CIN and sending to a LEA requesting for LI of the target said received SIP or RTP flow comprising said identified unique IMS CIN for a matching correlation set.
Method, device, and server for emergency communication
A method for emergency communication includes receiving, by a wireless device, a user instruction or an automatically triggered event for reporting an emergency to an emergency monitoring server; and in response to the user instruction or the automatically triggered event, transmitting, by the wireless device, a data-only report to the emergency monitoring server.
IMS EMERGENCY SESSION HANDLING
It is provided a method, comprising monitoring if an invitation to an emergency session of an anonymous user is received from an internet protocol address; checking, if the invitation is received, if an identity of a user is correlated to the internet protocol address; replacing, if the internet protocol address is correlated to the identity of the user, the identification of the anonymous user in the invitation by the identity of the user; forwarding the invitation comprising the identity of the user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PAGE SHARING BY A DEVICE
Disclosed is a method by which a first device shares content with a second device, including establishing a short-range wireless communication with the second device, receiving, from the second device, image data representing a page of the second device, displaying a content list of the first device together with the received image data representing the page of the second device, receiving a user input to select a content item in the content list and move the selected content item to the displayed image data, and providing content corresponding to the moved content item to the second device, according to the received user input.
