Computer-Implemented System And Method For Delivery Of Group Messages
20170264748 · 2017-09-14 ·

A computer-implemented system and method for delivering group messages is provided. Users that are signed-on to and signed-off from one or more discussion groups are tracked. A voice message is received from one of the users signed-on to one of the discussion groups. A list of users associated with the discussion group is obtained and a sublist of signed-on users including those users from the list that are signed-on to the discussion group is built. The voice message is provided to the signed-on users of the discussion group and a copy of the voice message is stored for later access by the users in the discussion group that are signed-off

Selective Prioritization of Voice Over Data

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described herein for allowing a user or a service provider to selectively prioritize voice communications over data communications. By selectively prioritizing voice communications over data communications, the number of dropped calls in the mobile telecommunications network can be significantly reduced.

A wireless communication relay apparatus (10) according to the present invention outputs, when there is an incoming call from a base station (30) (YES in Step S1) and the connection authentication between the wireless communication relay apparatus (10) and the wireless communication terminal (20) has not yet been completed (NO in Step S2), an instruction to start the connection authentication to the user as an in-apparatus incoming notification state (Step S21) and sends a message or a hold tone indicating that the connection authentication is currently being executed to a caller of the incoming call (Step S26). After that, when the connection authentication is completed (YES in Step S28), the incoming call is connected to the wireless communication terminal (20) (Step S3).

Network node, method, and mobile terminal for providing voice calls to a mobile terminal in a packet-switched-only network

A network node, method, and mobile terminal for providing circuit-switched (CS) voice calls to a mobile terminal operating in a packet-switched (PS)-only network. A control node such as an EPC node in an SAE/LTE PS-only network is modified to mimic the messaging functionality of a Serving GPRS Service Node (SGSN). The EPC node is connected to an MSC/VLR in a CS network through a Gs interface. The EPC node registers the terminal with the MSC/VLR and provides a VLR TMSI to the terminal. When the MSC/VLR receives an incoming CS voice call for the terminal, the MSC/VLR notifies the EPC node, which sends a paging message to the terminal. To set up the CS voice call, the terminal sends a paging response directly to the MSC/VLR.

A computer-implemented system and method for group message delivery is provided. A voice message is received from a user associated with a personal communication device. An identification code for a discussion group to which the voice message is directed is obtained from the voice message. The voice message is added to a queue associated with the discussion group and a list of members associated with the discussion group is obtained. A sublist of personal communication devices associated with those members that are signed in to the discussion group is built. The voice message is transmitted to the personal communication devices on the sublist when the voice message reaches a top of the queue.

CALL HOLD METHOD AND TERMINAL

Embodiments of the present invention provide a call hold method and a terminal. The method includes: when an originating call of a terminal triggers a CS voice service, sending first indication information to an IMS sublayer by using a CC sublayer, so that the IMS sublayer detects whether an IMS voice session exists; sending signaling to a network if the IMS voice session exists, where the signaling is used to trigger a hold procedure of the INS voice session, so that the IMS voice session is in a hold state; and after the terminal completes establishment of a mobility management connection, establishing, according to second indication information, a second CS session corresponding to the IMS voice session, where the second CS session is in a hold state, thereby avoiding a case of session abnormality.
