PIVOTING WEIGHT ARM ASSEMBLY
A weight arm assembly for use with a weight lifting rack is provided, the weight arm assembly including a mounting bracket configured to be attached to a vertical surface in a fixed position, an arm mount configured to be coupled to the mounting bracket so as to be pivotable about a first axis, a stop member coupled to the arm mount and configured to move between an engaged position to prevent pivoting of the arm mount through interaction with the mounting bracket, and a disengaged position to allow pivoting of the arm mount, and a weight arm configured to be coupled to the arm mount, proximate a first end of the weight arm, so as to be pivotable about a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis.
ADAPTIVE EXERCISE APPARATUS
A multi-purpose Adaptive Exercise Apparatus, fabricated so those with physical impairments or physical limitations may safely complete complex, fully customizable therapeutic exercise movements with various types of accommodating resisting or assisting forces placed upon the exercise movements by using a unique shuttle and track mechanism and a telescoping elevation platform.
Reversible resistance exercise machine
A reversible resistance exercise machine for reversing the direction of applied resistance against a movable platform of an exercising machine. The exercise machine has a frame, a carriage movably positioned upon the frame, and a plurality of biasing members. A plurality of first tension connectors are accessible near the first end of the carriage and are adapted for removably attaching selected biasing members near the first end of the carriage to resist motion of the carriage in the first direction. A plurality of second tension connectors are accessible near the second end of the carriage and are adapted for removably attaching selected biasing members near the second end of the carriage to resist motion of the carriage in the second direction. A user selectable amount of force may be applied to the carriage to resist movement in either of the first direction and the second direction.
Jaw exercise system and method of using the same
Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods for evaluating jaw movement characteristics of a user, for example, in a plurality of distinct jaw motion directions. In an example implementation, a jaw exercise system as discussed herein is configured to facilitate the exercise and/or quantification of a user's jaw strength in at least one of six distinct directions. As described herein, the jaw exercise system may comprise a frame assembly to which a user may selectively attach one of a plurality of an interchangeable functional assemblies, each configured to facilitate the evaluation of the jaw movement characteristics of a user in six jaw movement directions. The jaw exercise system comprises one or more of a progressive resistance attachment assembly, a passive motion attachment assembly, a force characterization attachment assembly, and a hyoid motion attachment assembly.
Tilting Exercise Machine
The present invention relates to the field of fitness training devices and exercise machines. More specifically, a substantially horizontal exercise machine comprising an exercise platform slidable along one or more rails aligned with the longitudinal axis of the machine structure, the slidable platform spring-biased towards one end of the machine, is tiltable to allow for one end of the machine to be raised or lowered relative to the opposed end of the machine.
Hamstring exercise device and method of using same
A hamstring exercise device is provided that allows a user to apply variable resistance to the hamstring muscles during exercise. The hamstring exercise device has a user sled, upon which a user may rest, slidably mounted on an angulation slide. The angulation slide is pivotably adjustable to varying degrees of inclination or declination relative to the horizontal. The user's body weight, resistance of the sled toward moving and an optional biasing means all contribute to an adjustable degree of exercise difficulty.
TRACK EXERCISE DEVICE
Disclosed is a track exercise device including at least two substantially parallel tracks, at least four movable platforms, wherein at least two movable platforms are on a first track, and wherein at least two movable platforms are on a second track. A transverse attachment attaches the movable platforms on adjacent tracks, a longitudinal attachment attaches the movable platforms on the same track, and a tilting adjustment provides for inclined or flat movement.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TREATMENT USING A UNIVERSAL CAGE APPARATUS
A system and a method of treatment using a universal cage creating a coordinate method of exercise. Physical therapy or fitness exercises are provided to a patient through a system of cords, blocks and belts disposed on a plurality of grid panels through a plurality of mounting devices. Placement of the mounting devices on the grid panel is determined by which muscle groups are receiving therapy and the type of movement required. Once the placement for each movement is determined, the coordinates of the mounting device are captured so that the mounting devices can be preset consistently for each therapy session.
