SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING VARYING RESISTANCE IN EXERCISE EQUIPMENT THROUGH LOOP DRIVE MECHANISM
A system for providing resistance in an exercise machine. The system includes a motor, at least one loop drive attached to the motor. A carriage is coupled to the loop drive. The carriage moves in a first direction when the motor is turned in a first direction and a second direction when the motor is turned in a second direction. At least one sensor is attached to the carriage, wherein the at least one sensor is configured to detect external force on the carriage. Information from the sensor indicates external force on the carriage. The information is used to determine a movement of the carriage in response to the external force. The motor is instructed to turn the loop drive to apply the movement.
EXERCISE POWER RACK ASSEMBLY ATTACHMENT
The present invention is disclosed as a power rack assembly attachment having at least one support member that removably attaches to a vertical post in a power rack assembly or similar exercise equipment or machine and is connected to a parallel vertical support post that can receive a support hook for barbells. The present invention provides the ability to extend vertical support for support hooks closer to the user than the standard vertical posts in a power rack assembly.
Weight Ratio Arrangement for a Weight Machine
An exercise machine may include a support frame; at least one weight rack configured to receive added weight; and a weight ratio arrangement engaged with the support frame, the at least one weight rack, and a first attachment. The weight ratio arrangement may include an exercise cable having a first end connected to the first attachment and a second end connected to a portion of the machine; at least two movable pulley blocks, each including at least one pulley, wherein the at least one weight rack is attached to and configured to move with one of the at least two movable pulley blocks; and a locking mechanism movable between a locked position in which only one movable pulley block is movable and an unlocked position in which the two movable pulley blocks are movable. The exercise cable may be operatively connected to the at least two movable pulley blocks.
Angle-adjustable and swingable smith machine
An angle-adjustable and swingable Smith machine includes: a frame part for forming an exercise space; a swing part which is disposed in the exercise space and is connected to the frame part; a guide part which is integrally coupled to the swing part and performs a swing operation together with the swing part; a rail part, which is installed on the upper end of the frame part, for guiding the movement of the swing part, and setting or fixing the angle of the swing part; an angle adjustment part for adjusting the angle of the swing part by interworking with the rail part; and a barbell part which is coupled to the guide part so as to ascend and descend.
Modular structure for physical exercise
A modular structure for performing physical exercises incorporates a gripping system that slides along a surface of the modular structure. The gripping system allows for varying height of an anchoring point where different types of resistance bands or ropes are attached. The modular structure is adaptable, easy to use, and has plurality of exercise stations that can be used simultaneously.
Pivoting weight arm assembly
A weight arm assembly for use with a weight lifting rack is provided, the weight arm assembly including a mounting bracket configured to be attached to a vertical surface in a fixed position, an arm mount configured to be coupled to the mounting bracket so as to be pivotable about a first axis, a stop member coupled to the arm mount and configured to move between an engaged position to prevent pivoting of the arm mount through interaction with the mounting bracket, and a disengaged position to allow pivoting of the arm mount, and a weight arm configured to be coupled to the arm mount, proximate a first end of the weight arm, so as to be pivotable about a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis.
Athletic training platform exercise device
A multi-purpose athletic training platform exercise device is provided. A user may stand atop a platform and exercise while connected to a downward pulling source of resistance. This machine allows the user to walk forwards, backwards and side-to-side freely while still having attachment to the resistance source via a connecting means. This will activate all the muscles in the lower body while tractioning the lower back and helping to reduce pelvic tilt. The resistance may be varied during the user effort. The user is able to step off the machine to climb up or down a step, or walk up and down a ramp that may be provided.
FREE WEIGHT BELT SQUAT MACHINE
The present invention is a free weight belt squat machine that allows a free, unencumbered raising and lowering of variable resistance by a user. A belt which is directly attached to the horizontal free weight bar holds standard Olympic plates and may be raised or lowered, directly in free space, by the user. Thus, the natural and optimal movement pattern of a straight line over the user's center of gravity may be fully and completely realized. This machine provides a control arm to safely and effectively engage and disengage the resistance from the machine to the user and then back to the machine. This machine further provides an adjustable stopper mechanism for the safety of the user and to limit or expand the range of the exercise to cause the desired adaptations in muscular strength and size.
Universal pulley system for power rack
A pulley system for a weight rack includes an overhead pulley unit and a lower pulley unit. The overhead pulley is installed on an overhead crossmember of the weight rack to provide a plate loaded pull-down system. The overhead pulley has a main body and a mounting member recessed into it. A rear sheave is set off from the crossmember by the main body further than a front sheave. The front and rear sheaves support a cable for pull-downs. A lower pulley unit including a front lower body and a rear lower body is attached to a lower crossmember under the front sheave of the overhead pulley. The front lower body includes a sheave to redirect the cable laterally from the overhead pulley and a front face including a footrest and a notch to allow passage of the cable there through.
Weightlifting Machine
A weightlifting machine includes a carriage support, a carriage moveably mounted on the carriage support and configured to move along the carriage support, and a locking mechanism that is moveable between a locking position, where the locking mechanism engages the carriage and supports the carriage at an elevated position above a lowermost position of the carriage, and a release position, where the locking mechanism does not engage the carriage, and the carriage is free to move below the elevated position.
