Managed print services
Systems and methods for managing print services for a customer are described herein. In one example, managing print services for a customer comprises receiving contract data of a managed print services (MPS) contract and collecting device details related to customer devices of the customer. Further, for each of the customer devices, at least one service program to which the customer device is entitled is identified based on the received contract data and the collected device details.
Pixel and Imaging Array with Reduced Dark Current Adapted to Low Light Imaging
A pixel sensor, an imaging array that includes such pixel sensors, and a method for operating an imaging array are disclosed. The pixel sensor includes a transfer gate that connects a photodiode to a floating diffusion node in response to a transfer signal, a reset circuit, and a controller. The reset circuit is adapted to apply either a first potential or a second potential to the floating diffusion node, the second potential being less than the first potential. The controller is configured to cause the reset circuit to apply the first potential to the floating diffusion node while the transfer gate is conducting just prior to a start of an accumulation phase, and then apply the second potential to the floating diffusion node after the transfer gate is rendered non-conducting, the second potential is less than the first potential.
INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
An inkjet recording device includes: an image former; an image reader including a line sensor and an optical unit; and a conveyor. The line sensor has imaging elements, and detects incident light from a surface of a recording medium over an imaging range corresponding to arrangement of the imaging elements in a width direction intersecting a relative movement direction in which the recording medium and/or the image reader is relatively moved, thereby performing one-dimensional imaging along the width direction. The optical unit removes a high-frequency-side component that is a spatial structure equal to or higher than a predetermined cutoff frequency from spatial distribution of the incident light from the imaging range and guides the incident light to the line sensor. The cutoff frequency for the high-frequency-side component is determined to be lower in the width direction than the relative movement direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND POWER CONTROL DEVICE
A power control device and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing a current at the time of power shutdown in an apparatus such as the image forming apparatus are provided. The image forming apparatus comprises a power source, an electrical driving load which is driven by the power source, a shutdown circuit for shutting down the power source from the electrical driving load, and a power shutdown circuit for controlling drive and stop operations of the electrical driving load and shutdown operation by the shutdown circuit. In a case where a signal giving an instruction to shut down the electrical driving load from the power source is input, the control circuit outputs a signal for stopping the electrical driving load and outputs a signal giving an instruction to shut down the electrical driving load from the power source to the shutdown circuit by delaying the signal.
Image forming apparatus with punch die-set lubrication prompt, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An image forming apparatus connected to a sheet hole punching apparatus that applies a punch process to a sheet, and a method for controlling the same, in which from a die-set mounted to the sheet hole punching apparatus, die-set information including at least identification information for identifying the die-set is obtained, and in association with the die-set information, a number of times that the punch process has been executed using the die-set is counted. Control is performed to prompt a user to lubricate the die-set when the number of times counted by the counter unit exceeds a threshold value.
Mail-format confirmation system and recording medium
A mail-format confirmation system includes a mail-format confirming unit that executes a confirmation as to whether format of a maintenance mail, as an e-mail for reporting device information about an electronic device, is a specific format processable by a device-information accumulation system. The device-information accumulation system obtains and accumulates the device information from the maintenance mail.
GENERATING SOURCE IDENTIFYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a generation source identifying apparatus and an image forming apparatus capable of identifying a generation source of abnormal sound are provided. The generation source identifying apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory is configured to store information on a driving frequency of a plurality of driving mechanisms. The processor is configured to detect an abnormal sound from sound of the plurality of driving mechanisms, determine a generation interval of the abnormal sound, and identify a respective driving mechanism of the plurality of driving mechanisms as a generation source of the abnormal sound based on the generation interval of the abnormal sound and the information stored in the memory.
IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE-FORMING METHOD
The invention provides an image-forming apparatus that includes a printer that performs printing, and a controller that determines, on a basis of settings related to a print job, whether to execute the print job as a print job related to test printing or execute the print job as a normal print job, and causes the printer to perform printing, in which the settings related to the print job include a plurality of items, and one or more combinations of a setting of another item with respect to a setting of one item are set as recommended settings, and, when the print job includes a setting of the another item other than the recommended settings with respect to the setting of the one item, the controller determines that the print job is a print job related to test printing.
Quality control service using input quality metrics
Transcoders may be used to transcode multimedia inputs to generate output multimedia segments encoding segment quality scores that relate to the quality of transcoded segments and may be based at least in part on whether transcoding errors were detected. A system may be used to monitor quality control information relating to the generation of transcoded segments and invoke a quality control routine to determine a root cause for issues in the transcoding environment.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED GENERATION AND INSTALLATION OF MFP APPLICATIONS FROM MONITORED DEVICE USAGE
A system and method provides for monitoring of popular multifunction peripheral instruction sequences for generation and installation of custom applications. The MFP has a user interface, including a display, and receives a sequence of document processing instruction sequences from one or more users. The processor generates log data corresponding to a logging of each received document processing instruction sequence. The processor sends generated log data to an associated server via a network interface. The network interface receives an application generated by the associated server in accordance with generated log data via the network interface. The processor then installs a received application on the multifunction peripheral along with control indicia on the display. The processor performs a sequence of document processing instructions specified by the received application upon a user selection of the control indicia.
