Information processing apparatus and method of controlling information processing apparatus
An information processing apparatus includes an output unit configured to output a direct current after converting an alternating current into the direct current and a power factor correction circuit configured to correct a power factor of the output unit, and is shifted from a first power state to a second power state. The information processing apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect predetermined return request in the second power state, and a power control unit configured to shift, based on detection by the detection unit, the information processing apparatus from the second power state to a third power state in which processing corresponding to the predetermined return request is performable. The power control unit shifts the power state of the information processing apparatus from the third power state to the second power state after the processing is completed in the third power state.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An electronic apparatus includes circuitry to receive a request for generating electronic data from an information processing apparatus via a first communication network, generate the electronic data, receive storage destination information designating a storage destination of the electronic data from the information processing apparatus via the first communication network, and transmit the generated electronic data to the storage destination via a second communication network, different from the first communication network, based on the storage destination information received from the information processing apparatus.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVELY SENDING, DELIVERY AND RECEIVING OF FAXES
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS METHOD OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides an image forming apparatus and a malfunction diagnosis method of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus stores a diagnosis target of a malfunction in association with a diagnostic item corresponding to the diagnosis target, and in a case where an abnormality is detected, the apparatus specifies the diagnosis target corresponding to the abnormality, executes a malfunction diagnosis process in accordance with the stored diagnostic item in association with the specified diagnosis target, and displays information regarding a malfunction parts determined to be a malfunction by the malfunction diagnosis process. The apparatus executes a malfunction diagnosis processes of a different type depending on whether or not a sheet remaining in the image forming apparatus is detected.
Apparatus, control method, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium that cause a device to print an image based on a state of the apparatus and a user operation
An apparatus that causes a device to print an image includes at least one processor, and a display screen. A state of the apparatus is changed from a first state to a second state when an image is settled as a print target by a user, the first state being a state in which the at least one processor does not cause the device to print the image even if the apparatus is put close to the device, and the second state being a state in which the at least one processor can cause the device to print the image if the apparatus is put close to the device. After the apparatus in the second state performs a short distance wireless communication with the device, the device prints the image.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a separating roller that is capable of switching between a separation state in which an original document is separated and a non-separation state in which the original document is not separated, and determines whether or not the original document is fed in the separation state or the non-separation state based on the types of the original document set through a user interface for instructing a select of the types of the original document to be read and a start of reading the original document.
Audit logging for a secure, scalable and flexible internet fax architecture
Methods and systems for an auditing infrastructure for an Internet fax service architecture are provided. According to one embodiment, information regarding an event, associated with a component of the Internet fax service architecture, that is to be logged, is received by a centralized audit logging module of the Internet fax service architecture. The component may be a web server, an email server, a fax server, a notification server or an imaging system. The information is utilized by the centralized audit logging module to determine specific parameters within the Internet fax service architecture to be logged. Finally, the event, including the information and the specific parameters, is recorded by the centralized audit logging module to an audit log associated with the Internet fax service architecture in a standardized format.
System and method for automated printing of network documents
A system and method for contemporaneous printing of a document along with content obtained from a network, in accordance with embedded network address information, includes a print engine, a network interface and an intelligent controller. An electronic document is parsed to identify at least one embedded network addresses. Content associated with each embedded network address is obtained from a network and printed contemporaneously with the original document. Separator pages preceding content obtained from the network are generated and include the network address from which content that follows was obtained, along with a page number in the original document where the address appeared.
