Method for deleting data files in an electronic device
An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
Vehicle camera signal strength indicator
Method and apparatus are disclosed for vehicle camera signal strength indicator. An example vehicle includes a first communication module, a second communication module, and a hardware module with a processor and memory. The first communication module communicatively couples to a wireless camera. The second communication module communicatively couples to a mobile device. The second communication module is different than the first communication module. The hardware module (i) determines a metric of transmission quality based on a signal strength from the wireless camera, and (ii) sends the metric of transmission quality to the mobile device to provide feedback regarding a placement of the wireless camera on the vehicle.
Secure aircraft camera monitoring system
Secure aircraft camera monitoring includes capturing images of an area of interest proximate to an aircraft, and securely transmitting the images as data files over an encrypted communication network associated with the aircraft. In one example, a system includes an image capture device configured to be secured to an aircraft to capture a plurality of images of a field of view of an area of interest proximate to the aircraft. The system also includes a processor configured to receive the plurality of captured images and convert the captured images to a plurality of data files. The system further includes a memory configured to store the data files, and a communication interface configured to connect to an encrypted communication network associated with the aircraft, wherein the communication interface is configured to securely transmit the data files over the encrypted communication network.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device includes a casing, an image forming unit, a first board, and an operational button. The image forming unit and the first board are disposed in the casing. The first board has a first opening extending through the first board, and a loop antenna disposed around the first opening. The operational button is located in the casing through the first opening. The operational button has a top surface exposed to an exterior of the casing.
SERVICE SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND SERVICE PROVIDING METHOD
A service system includes a mobile terminal and an information processing device capable of communication via a network. The mobile terminal includes a first transmission unit that transmits spherical images taken in respective imaging locations and positional information about the imaging locations to the information processing device. The information processing device includes a reception unit that receives the spherical images transmitted by the first transmission unit; a map data obtaining unit that obtains map data from a map data storage, the map data including the imaging locations of the spherical images; a path information creation unit that creates information about a path made by connecting the imaging locations in the map data obtained by the map data obtaining unit; and a content providing unit that makes content available for a request through the network, the content including the map data, the information about the path, and the spherical images.
Imaging device and time-lapse imaging method
The present invention provides an imaging device and a time-lapse imaging method capable of simply realizing time-lapse imaging using a pan and tilt mechanism. In a preferred aspect of the present invention, an imaging device includes a pan and tilt mechanism that rotates an imaging unit in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction relative to a device body, transmits a live view image to a smartphone, displays the live view image on a display and input unit, and receives an instruction input for specifying camerawork in time-lapse imaging using the display and input unit. Accordingly, the instruction input for specifying camerawork for performing time-lapse imaging using the pan and tilt mechanism can be simply input. The imaging device controls at least the pan and tilt mechanism based on the instruction input for specifying camerawork and controls the imaging unit to perform time-lapse imaging.
Data processing system executing predetermined data processing by plurality of apparatuses linking
A data processing system (S) is configured so as mutually register transmission destinations between devices performing communication. In addition, the data processing system (S) performs a predetermined communication procedure for communicating predetermined information to transition to a communication connection state establishing a mutual communication connection, and in the communication connection state, performs intermittent periodic communication every predetermined interval, where the communication connection state is maintained while periodic communication is maintained, and the communication connection state is released in a case of the periodic communication being interrupted, and in the state in which the communication connection state is released, controls the allowance of transition to the communication connection state again, according to a change state of contents of the predetermined information sent upon transitioning to the communication connection state, and the presence of a transmission destination recorded.
Communication processing system, processing device, and non-transitory recording medium for computer readable program
The first processing device includes a first communication unit for performing cryptographic communication and plaintext communication, a determination portion for determining whether to set the cryptographic communication, and a communication unit controller. The second processing device includes a second communication unit for performing the cryptographic communication and the plaintext communication with the first communication unit. The second communication unit includes a storage for storing, for each of other ends of communication, encryption key information necessary for encryption up to a predetermined upper limit. When performing the cryptographic communication, the second communication unit performs at least one of encryption and decryption based on an encryption key included in the encryption key information corresponding to the first processing device stored in the storage. After finishing the cryptographic communication, the second communication unit performs processing for deleting, from the storage, the encryption key information corresponding to the first processing device.
Wireless communication apparatus for determining wireless communication to be used, wireless communication terminal for determining wireless communication to be used, and computer-readable and non-transitory recording medium storing program for selecting wireless communication to be used
A wireless communication apparatus includes a first wireless communication unit that performs a first wireless communication, a second wireless communication unit that performs a second wireless communication that consumes less electric power than the first wireless communication, a power supply circuit that supplies electric power to the first and second wireless communication unit by receiving electric power supply from a battery or an external power supply, a state detection unit that detects whether the power supply circuit is in a first state for receiving the electric power supply from the external power supply or in a second state for receiving the electric power supply from the battery, and a first control unit. The first control unit determines which one of the first and second wireless communications to adopt as a wireless communication that is to be used for communication, based on detection result by the state detection unit.
