An image-outputting apparatus includes a network interface, a storage, an output unit for outputting images, a user interface for receiving user operations including a login operation, and a controller. The controller determines whether the login operation is accepted, and determines what type of machine operation is permitted for the logged user according to the account thereof. The controller receives notification data from a server. The notification data contains information to be transmitted to an authorized user to whom a specific account is assigned. In response to receiving notification data, the controller determines whether an authorized user is logged in. When the authorized user is logged in, the controller controls the output unit to output a notification image represented by the notification data. When the authorized user not is logged in, the controller stores the notification data in the storage.

A picture processing method includes: extracting, by a terminal, a predetermined image displayed on a first picture in the terminal; acquiring, by the terminal, a second picture; and combining, by the terminal, the predetermined image and the second picture into one picture. The method solves the problem of impossibility in random replacement of a picture background in the related art, thereby achieving the effect of randomly replacing the picture background.

A camera generates a main image and a sub image of which data size is smaller than that of the main image, and stores them in association with an image ID. The camera transmits the image ID and the sub image to a tablet device, and transmits the image ID and the main image to the PC. The tablet device executes a development process on the sub image and generates an adjustment value, and transmits the adjustment value together with the image ID to a server. The PC receives the adjustment value based on the image ID from the server and uses the adjustment value for a development process on the main image.

A display system has a (1) camera that includes a lens and outputs an image data; (2) a first display that includes a first display screen on which (i) a first image, based on the image data output by the camera, containing a part of a person is displayed and (ii) information indicating a position where the camera has output the image data is displayed; and (3) a second display that includes (i) a receiver which receives the image data transmitted from the camera and (ii) a second display screen that displays a second image based on the image data. The second display can be carried by the person while receiving the image data.

An image processing apparatus and method includes inputting user information, setting folder information about a specified user based on the user information as a destination of image data, registering the set folder information, and performing control so as not to register folder information corresponding to a transmission protocol set to be disable from among a plurality of transmission protocols.

An electronic device includes an image sensor that outputs image data; a display that displays the image data output by the image sensor; an operating unit by which a user of the electronic device selects the image data displayed on the display; and a communication circuit that communicates with other electronic devices that are separate from the electronic device. When the image data is selected by the operating unit and the communication circuit receives an identification information of a first electronic device, which is one of the other electronic devices, the communication circuit transmits an identification information of the electronic device and an information about the image data to the first electronic device.

A shared terminal includes: circuitry to control a display to display an image to a plurality of users, the plurality of users sharing a use of the shared terminal, and obtain, from a first privately-owned terminal owned by a first user of the plurality of users, first terminal identification information for identifying the first privately-owned terminal; a transmitter to transmit, to a terminal management server, an authentication request for authenticating the first privately-owned terminal to allow login of the first user into the shared terminal, the authentication request including the first terminal identification information of the first privately-owned terminal; and a receiver to receive an authentication result indicating whether the first privately-owned terminal is authenticated to allow login of the first user, from the terminal management server. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is a legitimate terminal and login of the first user is successful, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen for allowing the plurality of users including the first user to draw an image. When the authentication result indicates that the first privately-owned terminal is not a legitimate terminal and login of the first user fails, the circuitry controls the display to display a screen with an error message.

An image processing system includes an image scanner that scans an image on a document into image data, a destination accepting unit that accepts selection of a destination that the image data is transferred by a first user, the destination at least corresponding to a user other than the first user selecting the destination, a blank page detector that detects a blank page in the image data, an image data processor that removes the detected blank page from the image data to generate blank page removed data and blank page data of the detected blank page, a specification unit that specifies a first destination of the first user, and a transmitter that transfers the blank page removed data to the destination corresponding to the user other than the first user and transfers the blank page removed data and the blank page data to the first destination of the first user.
