SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING CONTENT ITEMS HAVING MULTIPLE RESOLUTIONS
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for managing content items having multiple resolutions may be provided. In some embodiments, a user device may send a request to access one or more images from a content management system. The one or more images may be categorized on the user device by an expected use that determines that the one or more images be in a first version. A second version of the one or more images may be received while a background download of the first version of the one or more images may be performed. In some embodiments, the first version may correspond to a high-resolution image whereas the second version may correspond to a lower resolution image.
Cutting operation of image forming apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
An image forming apparatus includes a reception unit that receives an instruction to place and print an image in an area of a specific shape having an aspect ratio different from an aspect ratio of a recording sheet; a print control unit performs control such that a support image is on the recording sheet, the support image supporting specification of a cut position to cut out the area of the specific shape, in which the image of which printing instruction is received by the reception unit is printed, from the recording sheet; and an output unit outputs an explanatory image that explains the cut position with respect to the support image, in a case where the reception unit receives the printing instruction.
Retail photo order production and workflow management system and methods of use
Described herein is a multi-user retail photo kiosk system that includes multiple touch screen and Graphic User Interface (GUI) controlled consumer photo editing, photo print and product selection, and photo order placement terminals and multiple photo printers. The user photo kiosk terminals can receive images. Billing and payment is accomplished using barcoded receipts provided at the user terminal for payments for purchased photo products. A printer array incorporating various printers capable of producing prints or various sizes and formats can be configured as a horizontal counter or as a vertical tower and includes means to alert the user that their photo print order is complete. In addition, the system automatically notifies operators if equipment service, maintenance, media refilling, and/or post printing finishing procedures are required.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND PROGRAM
An electronic device is configured to send positional information to an external device configured to set the positional information to data, the electronic device includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire positional information; and a sender unit configured to send information to the external device, wherein the sender unit is configured to send the external device a command not to set positional information received from the electronic device in a case where a mode not allowing the external device to set positional information to data is chosen.
Media transfer system
The present invention related to a media transfer system comprising a user terminal and a network storage device communicable over a network. The user terminal is adapted to provide a network address and a session ID identifying the network storage device to a mobile device. The network storage device is adapted to receive media data from a mobile device under the session ID. The user terminal is adapted to interrogate the network storage device and download any media data uploaded under the given session ID, provide a customisation interface to allow the user to customise a product with any downloaded media, and upload the customised product design to the network storage device.
Facial recognition system for restaurant customer relationship management
A facial recognition system for customer relationship management (CRM) is provided. The system includes one or more cameras, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and a backend server. The one or more cameras are disposed within a retail establishment, and are configured to capture one or more images of a patron within the establishment. The point-of-sale (POS) terminals are operably coupled to the one or more cameras, where one or more of the POS terminals receives the one or more images, and transmits a request over a network for recognition of the patron. The backend server is disposed other than where the POS terminals are disposed, and is operably coupled to the POS terminals via the network, and is configured to receive the request, to recognize the patron, to access loyalty program data corresponding to the patron, and to transmit the loyalty program data to the POS terminals.
CONTROL METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for controlling an image processing apparatus including specifying one or a plurality of pieces of image data; generating a new template based on a feature of the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data, the generated new template including at least one or a plurality of slots for which the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data are laid out; and generating a layout image by laying out the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data to the one or plurality of slots included in the generated new template.
Microscopy with near-ideal sCMOS camera
In a method of filtering an image from data received from a CMOS camera, image data is loaded by a computational device from the camera. Camera parameters corresponding to the CMOS camera are loaded. Fixed pattern noise associated with the camera is removed based on the camera parameters. A readout noise estimation based on characteristics of the camera and filtering estimated readout noise from the image data is generated. Sparse filtering: selecting sub-frames within the image that have similar features; applying a three-dimensional transform on the sub-frames transforming the sub-frame data into a non-two-dimensional domain and generating a first transformed data set; filtering noise data from the first transformed data set to generate a first thresholded image data set; and applying a reverse three-dimensional transform on the first thresholded image data set so as to generate an image.
RETAIL PHOTO KIOSK ACCESS SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are embodiments for operating a retail photo kiosk and establishing a dedicated access for a remote mobile device to the photo kiosk. Certain embodiments of the photo kiosk incorporate anchored connector cables to connect remote mobile devices to the photo kiosk. According to one embodiment, the photo kiosk detects when a remote mobile device is connected to the kiosk via an anchored connector cable. Upon receiving user information, the photo kiosk generates and sends an access message comprising to the connected mobile device. Following the access message, the user may establish dedicated access to the photo kiosk through the mobile device, which allows the user to utilize and leverage photo processing features of the kiosk.
