A printing apparatus establishes a connection with an external apparatus in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol, receives, and temporarily stores in a spool area, print data transmitted from the external apparatus via the connection, and performs a printing process based on print data stored in the spool area. The printing apparatus controls whether or not to disconnect the connection with the external apparatus from the printing apparatus side, in accordance with a setting preliminarily made by a user operation, in a case where reception of print data from the external apparatus is stopped halfway through and a predetermined time has elapsed in a state where the reception remains stopped.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive, from a user terminal used by a user who causes the information processing apparatus to execute a process related to a processing request, setting information indicating setting contents of another information processing apparatus known to the user; and prior to executing the process related to the processing request received from the user, execute a setting change process for changing setting contents of the information processing apparatus to the setting contents indicated by the setting information.

An apparatus that causes a device to print an image includes at least one processor, and a display screen. A state of the apparatus is changed from a first state to a second state when an image is settled as a print target by a user, the first state being a state in which the at least one processor does not cause the device to print the image even if the apparatus is put close to the device, and the second state being a state in which the at least one processor can cause the device to print the image if the apparatus is put close to the device. After the apparatus in the second state performs a short distance wireless communication with the device, the device prints the image.

An image capturing apparatus that includes one or more image sensors configured to capture a plurality of images and store the captured images in a memory. The apparatus also includes a circuitry that detects an input trigger and continues to capture new images in response to the trigger. The numbers of new images captured are equal in magnitude to half the magnitude of the capacity of the memory. The first new image captured after detecting the trigger is tagged as a reference image. In response to the number of new images captured, the sensors are deactivated and the reference image is displayed immediately on a display panel. On detecting an input operation, the apparatus displays a target image from the plurality of images captured in a quick and efficient manner.

The processor determines whether to set a second information processing apparatus as the information processing apparatus capable of executing the imaging control, based on the use state, when receiving a request signal of the imaging control from the second information processing apparatus in a state where a first information processing apparatus is set as the information processing apparatus capable of executing the imaging control.

A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check; displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. The digital camera processing system may generate a log file including a bi-tonal image formatted as a TIFF image.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a program readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus comprises a processing unit and a storage unit. The information processing apparatus executes a first processing and a second processing. The storage unit includes a shared storage area. The processing unit executes, in the first processing, (i) a storing processing of storing image data, as a file into a file storage area, received from an image processing apparatus capable of communicating with the information processing apparatus, and (ii) a copy processing of storing, into the shared storage area, at least a part of a path name designated to the file stored in the storing processing as data to be processed. The processing unit executes, in the second processing, a paste processing of pasting the data to be processed stored in the shared storage area to a paste target area.

A control device includes a processor and a first storage portion. The processor executes a control process based on data stored in a main memory. The first storage portion stores a first memory image related to the main memory after a process of starting-up an operating system by the processor is completed. The control device loads the first memory image into the main memory if the operating system is started up.

A controller performs an approval process of: in response to receiving a first request from an apparatus connected via a communication interface, displaying an approval screen on a user interface; and in response to receiving an approval operation to an approval screen via the user interface, approving display of a remote screen, performs a transmission process of, in response to approving the display of the remote screen, transmitting remote screen data to the requesting apparatus; and after the transmission process, in response to receiving an instruction via the communication interface from a requesting apparatus, performs a particular process based on the instruction. The approval process further includes: determining whether a communication address satisfies a particular condition; and in response to determining that the communication address satisfies the particular condition, approving the display of the remote screen for the requesting apparatus without displaying the approval screen on the user interface.
