According to the embodiment, an information processing apparatus that executes a program including a first program layer with an instruction set to be interpreted and executed by a processor and a second program layer with an instruction set interpreted in advance by a unit other than the processor includes the following arrangement. That is, the processor includes a plurality of interpretation units configured to interpret the first program layer. A first interpretation unit is provided in an operating system that operates in the processor, and a second interpretation unit is provided in the second program layer.

A job management server, which is connected to a Web application server and a job processing apparatus via a network, comprises: a registration unit which registers, when a job received from the Web application server is added with information indicating that a request source of the job is the job processing apparatus, the job in a first job queue, and to register, when the job is not added with the information, the job in a second job queue having a lower priority than the first job queue; and a transmission unit which transmits the job registered in the first job queue in response to a request from the job processing apparatus while a user utilizes a Web application via the job processing apparatus.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems to allow a user to select and send multiple scanned documents to multiple destinations in a single submission. The method includes receiving multiple scan jobs separated using a pre-defined separator at a multi-function device. Each scan job includes a document having one or more pages. The multiple scan jobs are scanned to generate multiple scanned documents, where each scanned document is generated corresponding to a single scan job. Then, each scanned document and corresponding multiple destinations are displayed to a user via a user interface for selection. Based on the user selection, each scanned document is sent to the multiple selected destinations in a single submission.

The invention relates to a method for applying a marking on an object according to image data, wherein the image data comprises pixels with first pixel values and pixels with second pixel values, and wherein the marking to be produced comprises several cells, each cell corresponding to one pixel of the image data, in which at least one light beam is emitted with light emitting means; a deflection direction of scanning means for deflecting the light beam is scanned over the object; when the deflection direction points at a cell corresponding to a pixel with a first pixel value, the light emitting means are activated to produce a mark in that cell; and; when the deflection direction points at a cell corresponding to a pixel with a second pixel value, the light emitting means are deactivated to leave that cell blank. The method is characterized in that the deflection direction is altered in a meander pattern for cells that correspond to pixels with first pixel values, and in a straight movement for cells that correspond to pixels with second pixel values. The invention further relates to a marking apparatus for applying a marking on an object.
