Method of push-transmitting information from an image processing device
Provided is a printer connected to a management server via a network. The printer includes a storage control unit that, when an event occurs, stores in a storage unit event information indicating a content of the event that has occurred and time when the event occurs, and a transmission unit that push-transmits the event information stored in the storage unit to the management server. The storage control unit adds, to the event information, transmission information indicating whether the event information has been transmitted or has not been transmitted to the management server and stores the event information in the storage unit. Among the event information stored in the storage unit, the transmission unit push-transmits, to the management server, untransmitted event information to which transmission information indicating the event information has not been transmitted is added.
Server device and control method thereof
A server device includes communication means, information storage means, and output means. The communication means communicates with an information processing device that includes a display unit for displaying a symbol and a sending unit for sending information relating to the failure of the own device. The information storage means stores the information relating to the failure sent from the information process device. The output means outputs information relating to the failure stored in an access destination specified by the symbol to a user terminal that reads the symbol.
Printing from a handheld device via a remote server
Systems and methods are provided though which a transaction, e.g., in a multi-tier, distributed application may be initiated from a portable or hand-held device, such as a smartphone. A computer system or systems, possibly remote from the device, may approve the transaction, complete it, or both, and the remote computer system or systems may cause a document to be printed, e.g., by a printer physically proximate to the device. Aspects of the invention are illustrated by embodiments in which a drug prescription may be created electronically using a hand-held device. In such an embodiment, the prescription may be transmitted to one or more remote computer systems, such as an application server, for processing. If specified, the remote computer systems may cause a prescription to be printed, e.g., at a printer near the prescriber's location. The prescriber may sign the printed prescription and give it to a patient or pharmacy.

A system and method for electronic document translation filtering includes an input that receives electronic document data and instruction data corresponding to at least one document processing operation to be performed on the electronic document data. The computer applies language filter data specified by the translation instruction to the electronic document data to generate translated electronic document data. A translated electronic document resultant from application of the language filter data to the electronic document data is stored and an output communicates the translated electronic document data to a document processing engine.
