A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A portable electronic device with a touch screen display for photo management is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.

An image forming device includes a receiver and a switcher. The receiver receives data for executing a function of storing specific data in a preset private box. The switcher switches between first and second register modes when the function to be executed by using the data received by the receiver is copied into the image forming device. The first register mode is a mode in which a private box is manually registered in the image forming device. The second register mode is a mode in which a private box is automatically registered in the image forming device.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive, from a user terminal used by a user who causes the information processing apparatus to execute a process related to a processing request, setting information indicating setting contents of another information processing apparatus known to the user; and prior to executing the process related to the processing request received from the user, execute a setting change process for changing setting contents of the information processing apparatus to the setting contents indicated by the setting information.

A team photographing method can be applied to terminals. The terminals can include a main terminal and at least one member terminal. The method includes: forming a team including the main terminal and the at least one member terminal based on a team photographing instruction initiated by the main terminal; based on a target object to be photographed determined by the main terminal, determining the target object to be photographed of the at least one member terminal; and controlling, by the main terminal, the main terminal and the at least one member terminal to photograph the target object to be photographed cooperatively.

A digital camera with a printer is a digital camera with a printer and includes a communication unit that communicates with a digital camera with a printer that is another apparatus, and an image composition unit that generates a composite image in which a first image captured by the digital camera with a printer that is an owned apparatus and a second image captured by the other apparatus are composited, in which the communication unit transmits the composite image to the other apparatus. A user of the other apparatus can also obtain the composite image. Accordingly, the composite image can be enjoyed by capturing images using a plurality of cameras.

An image forming apparatus prints a template sheet. The template sheet includes a graphical code and operation boxes. The graphical code includes information corresponding to a storage location address that stores information about settings for one or more image forming apparatuses. A user indicates what information is desired or to be changed on the image forming apparatus, marks it on the template sheet and scans the template sheet. Based on the instructions on the template sheet, information for settings is retrieved for an apparatus in a network. Maintenance information for the image forming apparatus also is retrieved using the template sheet and operation boxes.

An image forming apparatus prints a template sheet. The template sheet includes a graphical code and operation boxes. The graphical code includes information corresponding to a storage location address that stores information about settings for one or more image forming apparatuses. A user indicates what information is desired or to be changed on the image forming apparatus, marks it on the template sheet and scans the template sheet. Based on the instructions on the template sheet, information for settings is retrieved for an apparatus in a network.

A scheduler of an image processing apparatus allocates processing of control programs of the image processing apparatus to a plurality of cores when it is determined that a processor is mounted to a peripheral unit. The scheduler allocates a control program of the peripheral unit and a program related to a control program for the peripheral unit among the control programs of the image processing apparatus to at least one core among the plurality of cores and allocates remaining control programs among the control programs of the image processing apparatus to remaining cores among the plurality of cores when it is determined that a processor is not mounted to the peripheral unit.
