Image processing apparatus having user login function, control method therefor, and storage medium
An image processing apparatus which is capable of improving ease of operation for users and also improving security when destinations are made public. The image processing apparatus is shared by a plurality of users and capable of selecting a destination from a plurality of address books and carrying out file transmission to the destination. It is determined whether or not a user has logged in, and when it is determined that the user has logged in, only personal addresses for the logged-in user are displayed on a display unit. The personal destinations displayed on the display unit are switched to destinations other than the personal destinations according to selection by the user. When it is determined that the user has not logged in, all destinations which are registered in the plurality of address books are displayed on the display unit.
Printing device software management and common interface
The present disclosure is directed to a method for managing printing device software. The method includes receiving, at a computing device, a request to print a document file. The method also includes receiving a selection of a particular printing device with which to print the document file. The method further includes performing a search operation to determine whether a printer driver for the particular printing device is stored on the first computing device. Additionally, the method includes causing a data transfer of the printer driver from a server onto the first computing device over a wide area network upon determining that the printer driver is not stored on the computing device. Further, the method includes converting, using the printer driver, the document file into a print job. The method also includes transmitting, to the particular printing device, instructions to execute the print job.
Image reading apparatus and computer-readable storage medium
An image reader includes a first judging section which judges whether a newly captured image is an image obtained by page-turning of a book to a destination position of the page; a temporary storage section which temporarily stores the newly captured image as a previous captured image when it is judges that the newly captured image is not an image obtained by page-turning to a destination position; a second judging section which, prior to temporarily storing the newly captured image as a previous captured image, judges whether, based on a latest image temporarily stored as a previous captured image and the newly captured image to be temporarily stored, the latest captured image and the newly captured image are an image of same pages; and a determining section which determines the latest captured image as a storage target when it is judged that the latest captured image and the newly captured image are not an image of a same page.
Approach for registering printing devices with a cloud print service
A printing device configuration application, referred to herein as a “mass deployment tool,” provides the capability to configure a large number of printing devices for cloud printing, in accordance with specific requirements of a cloud print service. The mass deployment tool deploys and installs a cloud print configuration application to a plurality of printing devices. The mass deployment tool transmits registration settings data to the cloud print configuration applications and causes the cloud print configuration applications to register their corresponding printing device with the cloud print service. The mass deployment tool receives and stores identification data that specifies a unique identification issued by the cloud print service for each of the printing devices. The mass deployment tool may be configured to provide a graphical user interface that allows a user to specify and manage the registration settings, general settings used to install the cloud print configuration applications, and sharing settings.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus inquires to an external apparatus for information as to whether or not a first database relating to setting items of the image processing apparatus exists, when initially connecting to the network; obtains setting values of the first database when it is confirmed that the first database exists; and reflects the obtained setting values to a second database held in the image processing apparatus and requests to the external apparatus to update information of the first database with the reflected setting values of the second database.
Vehicle entertainment tablet unit and cradle
A vehicle entertainment system includes a tablet unit and a cradle. The tablet unit includes a display and a touch screen input device disposed on a front surface, a first electrical connection, a first mounting mechanism, and a wireless receiver. The wireless receiver is configured to receive media data from a wireless network and the touch screen input device is configured to receive input from a user. The cradle is disposed in a headrest in a vehicle and includes a second electrical connection and a second mounting mechanism. The tablet unit is electrically connected to the cradle via the first and second electrical connections, and is physically coupled to the cradle via the first and second mounting mechanisms upon mounting the tablet unit to the cradle.
PRINT SYSTEM
A print system includes a client device, plural mobile printers, and a server device. The client device issues a print instruction in accordance with a user operation. The plural mobile printers each receive a print instruction and move to a destination indicated by the print instruction so as to perform printing at the destination. The server device selects a mobile printer which will perform printing based on a print instruction issued by the client device, in accordance with selection standards including judgement standards for judging whether or not it is necessary to distribute a print instruction over plural mobile printers or to transfer a print instruction from one mobile printer to another mobile printer.
Regional proximity for shared image device(s)
Different aspects of the disclosure relate to either transmitting at least one portion of at least one image representation from, or receiving at least one portion of the at least one image representation at, a shared image device in a manner at least partially relying on a positioning of the shared image device within a sharing region.
System and method for document delivery
The direct marketing system and method is disclosed that receives information from two parties, referred to as the sending party and the receiving party, and delivers a message or advertisement between the two. The message is then immediately printed on the receiving party's printer, and a small fee is paid by the sending party. A portion of this fee is sent to the receiving party as reimbursement for paper costs, ink costs, and printer maintenance.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a receiving unit that receives print instruction information to print data, a memory that stores the print instruction information received by the receiving unit, a management unit that manages an output order of the print instruction information, an execution unit that executes a printing process according to the print instruction information in the output order, and a near field communication unit that performs near field communication. In a case where a connection via the near field communication is established, where the receiving unit receives the print instruction information through the near field communication unit, and where there is a print instruction information previously stored in the memory, the management unit gives priority to the print instruction information in the output order over the print instruction information previously stored in the memory.
