A purpose of the present invention is to obtain a good tactile sensation of a vibration response even if a state or an operation situation of an operation panel changes, when the operation panel installed in a stationary machine, such as an image forming device, is vibrated as an operation response.

The present invention is applied to an operation input device that notifies a user by causing a vibrating element to vibrate an operation panel attached to a device main body when an operation of the operation panel by the user is detected. Here, in order to drive the vibrating element, at least one of a plurality of vibration directions is selected to drive the vibrating element when an operation input from the operation panel is detected.

Image forming apparatus having an operation portion with a near field communication portion, a touch panel, and an input key

Provided is an input device comprising: a touch panel which receives an operation from a user; an external member having an external surface substantially the same as a surface of the touch panel; and a near field communication unit which is provided near the surrounding of the touch panel and inside of the external member and performs communication with an object to be detected which is brought close to a detection range, wherein a position corresponding to the near field communication unit of the external member projects from the touch panel and is inclined such that the side close to the touch panel is higher than the side distant from the touch panel.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes a recording section that records information on a medium; a main body provided with the recording section; and a tilt panel that allows a setting operation of the main body. The tilt panel is configured to pivot in a touch direction. The tilt panel includes: a touch panel disposed on a front surface of the tilt panel; and a power button disposed on a part of a periphery of the tilt panel, a press direction of the power button intersecting the touch direction of the touch panel.

This optical scanning method yields a high quality image regardless of the size of the scanning area. An emission end of an optical fiber is displaced two-dimensionally to scan light emitted from the optical fiber, the emission end being displaced by an optical scanning actuator that includes a first driver and a second driver for driving the emission end in different directions. A non-circular scanning area is scanned by controlling, with a driver controller, a first drive signal supplied to the first driver and a second drive signal supplied to the second driver so as to rotate a scanning pattern of the light, while causing the scanning pattern to reciprocate repeatedly in a nearly parallel manner, and to change a length of the scanning pattern in accordance with a rotation angle of the scanning pattern.
