The apparatus includes a nonvolatile storage unit having semiconductor areas, a control unit configured to count a value of at least one type of data, an execution unit configured to execute TRIM processing that notifies the storage unit of an unused area among the semiconductor areas and performs wear leveling on an area in use among the semiconductor areas, and a notification unit configured to provide a notification prompting the execution of the TRIM processing when the counted value of the data satisfies a condition for a threshold.

An image forming apparatus installed with at least one first application includes a setting receiving unit, a storage unit, an installation unit, and an addition unit. The setting receiving unit displays at least one first setting screen for setting the first application and receives an input of setting value corresponding to the first application. Methods and systems for secure applications running web view applications are disclosed. In some aspects, user data may be secured within a first security domain, that is inaccessible to a web view application running within a second application. The second application accesses the user data via a second security domain, when a request is received from the web view application to display a user interface. The second application then displays a user interface based at least in part, on the user data.
