An image forming apparatus includes: a body of the image forming apparatus; an opening and closing unit that is supported by the body of the image forming apparatus so as to rotate relative to the body of the image forming apparatus and that opens and closes an inside of the body of the image forming apparatus, the opening and closing unit having a rotating shaft; a first coupling unit that has a first tube portion having a tube shape and having an inside through which the rotating shaft of the opening and closing unit passes, the first coupling unit being supported by the opening and closing unit; and a second coupling unit that has an extension portion supported by the body of the image forming apparatus and extending toward the first coupling unit, a bent portion having a first end portion that is connected to an end portion of the extension portion and being formed to be bent relative to an extension direction of the extension portion and to extend toward the rotating shaft, and a second tube portion disposed beside a second end portion of the bent portion and having an inside through which the rotating shaft of the opening and closing unit passes, the second coupling unit being rotatably coupled to the first coupling unit. When the opening and closing unit has been moved to an open position where the opening and closing unit opens the inside of the body of the image forming apparatus, a contact part at which the opening and closing unit is to be in contact with the second coupling unit is in contact with the bent portion.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a first unit, a second unit, a motor, and a power transmission mechanism. The second unit is configured to be rotated in relation to the first unit and configured to be closed onto, and opened away from, the first unit by being rotated. The motor is provided in the first unit. The power transmission mechanism transmits motive power of the motor from the first unit to the second unit. The power transmission mechanism includes a first gear and a second gear. The first gear has the same axial center of rotation as that of the second unit. The second gear is provided in the second unit and is in mesh with the first gear.
READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A reading device and an image forming apparatus. The reading device includes a reader disposed at a scanning position, the reader being configured to read an image formed on a surface of a sheet, a movement mechanism to move the reader between the scanning position and a separated position away from the scanning position, and a reference plate disposed at a first position facing a reading face of the reader, the reference plate being configured to obtain a reference value to be used when the reader reads the image. In the reading device, the reference plate rotates around an axis from a second position facing a side of the reader to the first position or from the first position to the second position in conjunction with movement of the reader from the scanning position to the separated position by the movement mechanism The image forming apparatus includes the reading device.

An image forming apparatus including: an apparatus frame; an exterior cover configured to cover the apparatus frame; a wireless communication module including an antenna for wireless communication and a board on which the antenna is mounted, and disposed between the apparatus frame and the exterior cover; and a fixing unit configured to fix the wireless communication module to the exterior cover, and including a screw screwed into a screw hole disposed on the exterior cover via a hole disposed on the board; wherein the board has four sides including a first side near the antenna and a second side extending along the first side and distant from the antenna, and the hole is disposed at a position close to the second side.

The screw is inserted in a front-back direction to fix the front surface portion of the frame and the first mounting portion.

An information processing method is configured for printing a first image by using a flatbed printer including a mounting table for mounting a first medium and a printing device for printing the first image on the first medium. The information processing method includes generating a second image indicating a position as a reference to mount the first medium on the mounting table, causing the printing device to print the second image on a second medium mounted on the mounting table, and causing the printing device to print the first image on the first medium mounted on the second medium having the printed second image.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, an image reading unit disposed on the image forming unit, a first control circuit board mounted on the image reading unit, a second control circuit board mounted on the image forming unit, a flexible flat cable, a slit, and a regulating member. The flexible flat cable transfers image data from the first control circuit board to the second control circuit board and has one end connected to the first control circuit board and another end connected to the second control circuit board. The slit is formed in the image forming unit such that the flexible flat cable passes through. The regulating member regulates a length of the flexible flat cable between the slit and the second connector, is attached at a predetermined position of the flexible flat cable, and abuts against the image forming unit.
