A document processing device convertible between a first configuration and a second configuration includes an input receptacle, a transport mechanism, a scanner, and a convertible output area. The input receptacle is configured to receive documents including currency bills therein. The transport mechanism is configured to transport the documents along a transport path from the input receptacle. The scanner is positioned along the transport path and is configured to scan at least a portion of each of the documents transported to generate data associated therewith. The convertible output area is configured to be selectively coupled with a first output assembly and a second output assembly.

A sheet discharging apparatus includes a discharge unit and a stacking portion. The stacking portion includes a first supporting portion including a first part and a second part provided with an interval therebetween in a width direction of the sheets, and configured to support a first sheet having a width larger than the interval between the first part and the second part, and a second supporting portion provided at a position between the first part and the second part in the width direction and below the first supporting portion in a gravity direction, and configured to support a second sheet having a width smaller than the interval. The second supporting portion includes a recess portion where the second supporting portion is recessed in the gravity direction to be lower than a height at which the second supporting portion comes into contact with a lower surface of the second sheet.

An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a discharging tray provided at an upper surface of the housing and onto which a sheet is to be discharged, an operation panel provided to the housing outside the discharging tray in a width direction perpendicular to a discharging direction of the sheet, at least a portion of the operation panel protruding with respect to a side face of the housing in the width direction, and a USB port provided at the side face of the housing in the width direction the USB port being arranged at the side face of the housing where the operation panel protrudes, on a downstream side with respect to the operation panel in the discharging direction, at a position that is lower than an upper end of the operation panel and is higher than a lower end of the operation panel.

An image reading device includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a carrier sheet and a reading object, a reading unit configured to read an image of the reading object, a display unit configured to receive an input of information about whether the reading object is conveyed using the carrier sheet, and a control unit configured to determine whether the reading object is being conveyed using the carrier sheet. The control unit performs predetermined processing on the image read by the reading unit when it is determined that the reading object is being conveyed using the carrier sheet. The control unit does not perform the predetermined processing on the image read by the reading unit when it is determined that the reading object is being conveyed without using the carrier sheet.

The communication unit outputs the sheet discharge timing signal having different waveforms to the post-processing apparatus on the basis of an inspection result of a sheet obtained from the inspection processing unit such that the sheet discharge timing signal includes a first waveform when the sheet determined by the inspection processing unit as that there is no image abnormality is discharged and such that the sheet discharge timing signal includes a second waveform different from the first waveform when the sheet determined by the inspection processing unit as that the image abnormality occurs is discharged.

A reading apparatus includes a feeding roller pair configured to feed a sheet supplied from another apparatus that is to be connected to the reading apparatus; a tray provided above the feeding roller pair in a vertical direction; a conveyance path through which the sheet is to be conveyed to discharge the sheet fed by the feeding roller pair to the tray; a first conveyance roller pair which is provided in the conveyance path, and is configured to convey the sheet; a second conveyance roller pair which is provided in the conveyance path on a downstream of the first conveyance roller pair in a conveying direction in which the sheet is conveyed, and is configured to convey the sheet; and a reading unit configured to read an image formed on the sheet while moving in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction.

Belt transfer type multi-function device and control method thereof
A belt transfer type multi-function device includes a control device performing controlling such that an image to be printed on paper already caught between a transfer roller and the belt roller is printed, and if printing should not be performed on a next paper, movement of the next paper is stopped on a transfer path before the next paper is positioned between the transfer roller and the belt roller, the image already transferred on the transfer belt is deleted in a state in which the next paper is stopped on the transfer path, and the next paper in a stopped state is ejected as a blank paper through a ejection port along the transfer path, so that the image already transferred to the transfer belt, which is to be printed on the next paper along the movement direction of paper, is not printed on the next paper.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a housing; a recording section that performs a recording operation on a medium and is disposed inside the housing; a storage section that stores the medium; a transport route along which the medium is transported; a transport section that transports the medium; a reading section that reads an original sheet and is positioned higher than the recording section; a supply section that supplies the original sheet to the reading section; and a supply route through which the original sheet passes. Each of the supply and transport routes is formed at substantially right angles to a width of the housing. The transport route has a curved section in which the medium is turned over. The reading section is positioned behind the recording section in a depth direction from the front to rear surface of the housing.
