Image processing apparatus, crease forming device, and folding device specifying the position of a folding line based on acquiring first image information and second image information
An image processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire image information obtained by an image reading apparatus including an illumination unit having an uneven balance in an amount of light in a sub-scanning direction; and specify a position of a folding line in a sheet from the acquired image information. The acquiring by the processor includes acquiring first image information obtained by reading the sheet in a first state in which the folding line in the sheet is positioned in a direction intersecting the sub-scanning direction of the image reading apparatus, and second image information obtained by reading the sheet in a second state in which the sheet is directed to an opposite side to a side in the first state. The specifying by the processor includes specifying the position of the folding line in the sheet based on the first image information and the second image information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, POST-PROCESSING POSITION ADJUSTING METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM ENCODED WITH POST-PROCESSING POSITION ADJUSTING PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes a post-processing device that folds a paper on which an image is formed, a document scanner that scans a document, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor acquires image data output by the document scanner scanning a region that includes a contour of the document with a folding line formed by being folded by the post-processing device, and determines a relative position of the contour and the folding line of the document based on the image data.
Post-processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating the post-processing apparatus
A post-processing apparatus includes a tray, a conveyor, a liquid applicator, a crimper, and a mover. The tray holds recording media on each of which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. The conveyor conveys the recording media toward the tray in a conveyance direction of the recording media. The liquid applicator applies liquid to the recording media held in the tray at a binding position at which the recording media is bound. The crimper presses and deforms the recording media at the binding position to bind the recording media. The mover moves the liquid applicator and the crimper separately along a surface of the recording media held in the tray.
Inspection apparatus that coverts a result of sheet inspection into an inspection result of each book including a plurality of sheets, method for controlling the same, and image forming system
An inspection apparatus is provided, which is operable to inspect a cut sheet that is supplied to a post-processing apparatus that post-processes sheets in units of hooks and on which an image has been formed by an image forming apparatus. The inspection apparatus inspects an image formed on a sheet for each sheet; manages results of sheet inspection by the inspection unit for respective books including a plurality of sheets; and notifies, the post-processing apparatus of a result of inspecting a book including the sheet that is based on the managed sheet inspection results.
Image forming system
An image forming system includes an image forming unit, a sheet folding unit, a sheet discharge tray, and a control unit. For the print job in which a first sheet bundle and a second sheet bundle are discharged onto the sheet discharge tray, the control unit is configured to selectively execute a first image forming mode or a second image forming mode. The first image forming mode is a mode in which a page order is controlled in such a manner that page numbers of sheets included in the second sheet bundle are larger than page numbers of sheets included in the first sheet bundle. The second image forming mode is a mode in which a page order is controlled in such a manner that page numbers of sheets included in the first sheet bundle are larger than page numbers of sheets included in the second sheet bundle.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes: a processor is configured to: read an image of at least one of a first surface or a second surface of a medium with the medium folded; discriminate whether the image is of the first surface or the second surface based on an identification image in the image; specify, based on the image, a surface on which a folding deviation occurs; and determine a correction direction of the folding deviation according to whether the surface on which the folding deviation occurs is the first surface or the second surface.
IMAGE FORMING CONTROL METHOD, IMAGE FORMING CONTROL APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an image forming control method, an image forming apparatus, and a non-transitory storage medium. The image forming control method includes acquiring job data and job parameters corresponding to the job data, where the job parameters include an image post-processing direction and a job data direction; determining a sheet feed direction based on the image post-processing direction and the job data direction in conjunction with a pre-stored corresponding relationship for characterizing a preset image post-processing direction, a preset job data direction, and a preset sheet feed direction; and based on the sheet feed direction, the job data, the job data direction, and the image post-processing direction, controlling an image forming device to perform an image forming operation, and controlling an image post-processing device to perform an image post-processing operation.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes: a conveyor; an image recording device configured to record an image on a printing medium conveyed in a conveyance direction by the conveyor; a divider provided downstream of the image recording device in the conveyance direction and configured to divide the printing medium; a detector provided upstream of the divider in the conveyance direction and configured to detect a trailing end portion of the printing medium; and a controller causing the printing apparatus to: calculate a dividing position of the printing medium based on a length of the printing medium that is grasped by detecting the trailing end portion by the detector; convey the printing medium in a reverse direction by the conveyor to move the dividing position to a position of the divider; and divide the printing medium at the dividing position by the divider.
Sheet folding apparatus and image forming system having the same
A sheet folding apparatus includes: a conveying roller conveying a sheet in a predetermined conveying direction; a folding roller pair disposed downstream of the conveying roller in the conveying direction and rotating while nipping a predetermined position of the sheet to form a fold; a conveying path for conveying the sheet in the conveying direction from the conveying roller to the folding roller pair; an abutting member moving downstream in the conveying direction and abutting against the predetermined position of the sheet to bend the sheet downstream; and a loop space where the sheet is bent between the conveying roller and folding roller pair in a direction crossing the conveying direction. The folding roller pair stops while nipping a front end of the sheet fed from to form a loop of the sheet in the loop space, and the abutting member moves to abut against the loop.
POST-PROCESSING DEVICE AND PRINTING DEVICE
A post-processing unit includes a punch unit that punches a paper on which recording is performed by a recording unit that discharges ink, and a controller that controls a punching operation of the punch unit. The controller sets at least one of the number of punching and a punching speed per paper in the punch unit based on setting information of at least one of recording information and environmental information in the recording unit.
