An image filing method including following steps is provided. At least one sheet is searched form from a plurality of scan image data by an office machine or a computer connected to the scanner. the plurality of scan image data is divided into M groups, and the at least one sheet form is set up in a first image data of each of M groups when there are M sheet forms searched from the plurality of scan image data, wherein M is an integral larger than 1. A keyword string is searched in each of the M sheet forms and an encoded string arranged after the keyword string is identified. M files corresponding to the M groups are created and named according to the encoded strings in each of the M sheet forms.

An image forming system includes a first image forming apparatus, a second image forming apparatus, a determining unit, and a display unit. The first image forming apparatus includes a first image forming unit that forms an image with a first developer of a process color. The second image forming apparatus includes a second image forming unit that includes a second developer and that forms an image with the second developer. The second developer has characteristics different from characteristics of the first developer on a medium. The determining unit determines, on the basis of image formation conditions designated by a user, a printing order in which an image formed with the first developer and an image formed with a second developer are printed on one medium, and determines a sequence in which the image forming apparatuses perform image formation on the basis of the determined printing order. The display unit displays the sequence determined by the determining unit.

A system is provided for processing documents. In particular, the system incorporates a feeder for feeding documents to a device for further processing of the documents. For instance, the system finds particular application in the field of document imaging in which a variety of documents of varying sizes and orientation are to be fed to an imaging system, such as a document scanner. The disclosure discloses methods and systems for automatically sorting a plurality of pages of a document by a multi-function device. The device comprises a document feeder, a document swapper and a document collector. The multi-function device receives a request to sort the plurality of pages in accordance with at least one sorting parameter. The multi-function device scans the pages and identifies one or more character fields for each of the scanned pages and executes a plurality of page swap cycles between the document feeder, the document swapper, and the document collector until each of the scanned pages are sorted based on the at least one sorting parameter. The sorting is performed by comparing the character fields for each of the scanned pages, a first subset of scanned pages are placed in the document swapper and a second subset is placed in the document collector in each page swap cycle.

An image reading apparatus for separating and conveying documents from a bundle of documents, causing the document to pass through a reading position, and reading an image from the document, includes: a reading translucent plate; a rotation member capable of rotating around a shaft; and a rotation driver that rotates the rotation member, wherein in the rotation member, each of: a cleaning member; a white reference area; and an end portion detection area is formed partially with regard to a circumferential direction, the cleaning member and the end portion detection area are arranged adjacent to each other, the rotation driver is arranged so that the end portion detection area faces an opposing surface, and the rotation member is rotated in a paper interval period from when a trailing edge of the document passes the reading position to when a leading edge of a subsequent document reaches the reading position.
