The first image forming mode is a mode in which a page order is controlled in such a manner that page numbers of sheets included in the second sheet bundle are larger than page numbers of sheets included in the first sheet bundle. The second image forming mode is a mode in which a page order is controlled in such a manner that page numbers of sheets included in the first sheet bundle are larger than page numbers of sheets included in the second sheet bundle.

At least one sheet is searched form from a plurality of scan image data by an office machine or a computer connected to the scanner. the plurality of scan image data is divided into M groups, and the at least one sheet form is set up in a first image data of each of M groups when there are M sheet forms searched from the plurality of scan image data, wherein M is an integral larger than 1. A keyword string is searched in each of the M sheet forms and an encoded string arranged after the keyword string is identified. M files corresponding to the M groups are created and named according to the encoded strings in each of the M sheet forms.

A method and apparatus for processing documents is provided. The documents may be conveyed to a feeder for feeding documents to a scanner. The scanner scans each document to obtain image data and then discharges the document to one or more output or sort locations. The system may include a skew reduction assembly for reducing skew in the documents as the documents are fed to the scanner. The system may also include elements for improving image quality and reducing document damage while the document is scanned. The system may further include features for improving the stacking of the discharged documents.

An image reading apparatus includes a sensor, a light source, and an image-capture controller. The sensor has a sensitivity area that is in a predetermined wavelength band, and acquires an image signal in accordance with light from sheet. The light source has a first light emitting unit that emits first light having a wavelength within the sensitivity area of the sensor, and a second light emitting unit that emits second light that has a wavelength which is outside of the sensitivity area of the sensor and that excites a fluorophore applied on the sheet. A generating unit generates content of a print instruction so that the output materials are output from the printing device according to the sorting method set by the setting unit.

A sorter processes trading cards in an affordable, accurate, and easy-to-use manner. The sorter includes an input and output bin. A transport path moves cards between the bins and has two scan bars, one above and one below the path. The scan bars capture an image of a top and bottom surface of ones of the cards. A controller coordinates movement of the cards along the path and receives the image for processing. Users interact with the controller by way of an interface to influence the processing.
