A printing apparatus includes: a conveyor; an image recording device configured to record an image on a printing medium conveyed in a conveyance direction by the conveyor; a divider provided downstream of the image recording device in the conveyance direction and configured to divide the printing medium; a detector provided upstream of the divider in the conveyance direction and configured to detect a trailing end portion of the printing medium; and a controller causing the printing apparatus to: calculate a dividing position of the printing medium based on a length of the printing medium that is grasped by detecting the trailing end portion by the detector; convey the printing medium in a reverse direction by the conveyor to move the dividing position to a position of the divider; and divide the printing medium at the dividing position by the divider.

A first transporting mode is included in a plurality of transporting modes executable by a control member. The first transporting mode includes a period in which a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a first state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from, among the first transport roller and the second transport roller, the first transport roller alone is set higher than a largest set velocity value in transporting the original while in a second state in which reading is performed while the original receives sending force from both the first transport roller and the second transport roller.

An information processing device according to aspects of the present disclosures is configured to obtain remaining amount information regarding a remaining amount of the consumable in use from a managed device, and obtain stock amount information regarding a stock amount of an unused consumable from an information source. When the consumable is replenished or replaced, the information processing device determines whether or not the stock amount of the consumable is equal to or less than a threshold value that is defined as a determination criterion based on the remaining amount information and the stock amount information, and displays a consumables management screen displaying a status object indicating a status of the consumable that is determined, in the determining process, that the stock amount is equal to or less than the threshold value.

The systems and methods presented here completely separate a non-user pattern from the user jobs being printed. In fact, depending on the number of images in the job and the number of patterns provided by the manufacturer or press operator, the patterns may appear on different images of the job each time the job is printed. This is because the image marks are generated and processed according to the configuration of ROUS, independent of the user jobs being printed.

An image reading apparatus includes a document tray, a set document sensor, a sheet feed rotary member, an image reader, a staple detector, a display panel and a controller. The set document sensor detects a document sheet set on a document tray. A staple detector detects a staple attached to the document sheet bundle. On recognizing set document sheets, based on the output from the staple detector, a controller checks whether or not the set document sheets are stapled. On detecting that they are stapled, the controller makes a display panel indicate that the document sheets are stapled and cannot be conveyed.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a read image and item information, the read image being an image obtained by reading a paper medium including plural documents, the item information being information of an item specified by a user from among plural items contained in the documents; extract a character string from the read image, the character string being associated with the item information; if a character string contained in a page of the read image and extracted from the page differs from a character string extracted from the previous page immediately preceding the page, set a split position, the split position being a position at which to split out a portion of the read image as a set of documents, the portion being a portion of the read image from a page where extraction has begun to the previous page; and output the read image split in accordance with the split position.

An image forming apparatus, having a recorder, a display, an input interface, a memory, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to control the recorder to consume colorant to print images on sheets, count a consumption value and a quantity of the sheets consumed, determine an average usage value based on the consumption value and the quantity of the sheets, obtain a filled amount value and determine a first printable quantity, determine a second printable quantity, control the display to display a first screen including a first object indicating the first printable quantity in the display, control the display to display a second screen including a second object indicating the second printable quantity in the display, and control the display to display a screen including a third object, through which one of the first object and the second object to be displayed in the display is selectable.

According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes, a sheet transporting unit, a scanner, a print unit, an input device, a counter, and a control unit. The sheet transporting unit transports a predetermined number of sheets among a plurality of the sheets. The scanner reads the sheets which are transported by the sheet transporting unit as image data. The print unit prints the image data which is read by the scanner. The input device receives an input from a user. The counter counts the number of the transported sheets. The control unit controls the sheet transporting unit and the print unit depending on the number of the transported sheets and the number of sheets which are input by the user.

A number-of-documents calculator calculates a number of original documents on a document placement tray from their weight detected by a weight sensor. A controller sets a resolution to a predetermined first resolution when the number of original documents is less than a predetermined number or sets the resolution to a predetermined second resolution lower than the first resolution when the number of original documents is not less than the predetermined number, and allows a document reader to read images of the original documents at the set first or second resolution. A special document detector determines, based on image data on the original document, whether the original document satisfies a predetermined condition, and detects the original document satisfying the condition as a special original document preferably to be read at a third resolution higher than the first resolution. A notifier notifies a user that the special original document has been detected.

A management system includes a printing apparatus replaceably holding a first and a second replaceable item, and a management server. The printing apparatus includes a transmission unit that transmits identification data indicating identification information on the printing apparatus and data including a value related to a usage amount of the second replaceable item. The management server includes an acquisition unit that acquires a value related to a previous usage amount of the second replaceable item from a memory based on the identification data from the printing apparatus. The management server includes a determination unit that makes a determination about a delivery instruction of the first replaceable item based on the value related to the usage amount of the second replaceable item, which is transmitted from the printing apparatus, and the value related to the previous usage amount of the second replaceable item, which is acquired from the memory.
