An image reading apparatus connectable to an image forming apparatus includes a feeding roller pair configured to nip and feed a sheet discharged from the image forming apparatus, a contact image sensor configured to read an image on a first surface of the sheet fed by the feeding roller pair, a light-transmissive plate provided opposed to the contact image sensor and having a light-transmission property, a first roller opposing the light-transmissive plate with a gap therebetween on a side opposite from the contact image sensor with respect to the light-transmissive plat, and a second roller positioned upstream of the first roller with respect to a sheet feeding direction and opposing the light-transmissive plate with a gap therebetween on the same side as the first roller.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus
Provided is an image reading device including: a document pressing portion that is attached to an apparatus body and configured to open or close to the apparatus body to press a document in between; and an opening force applying unit that applies a drive force of a drive source to the document pressing portion as an opening force to open the document pressing portion temporarily in a period of opening the document pressing portion.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a medium mounting portion configured to mount a medium; a feeding means configured to feed a medium from the medium mounting portion; at least one edge guide each configured to regulate a corresponding one of at least one medium width direction edge of the medium having been mounted on the medium mounting portion; a reading means configured to read the medium and disposed on a further downstream side than the at least one edge guide in the medium feeding direction; and at least one medium detection means configured to detect the medium and disposed on a further downstream side than the at least one edge guide in the medium feeding direction and further outside in the medium width direction than at least one edge regulation position for the edge regulation by the at least one edge guide.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, LIQUID DISCHARGE METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a first detection unit to detect a first movement amount of a recording medium. The apparatus includes a first liquid discharge unit, a first image capturing unit to capture a first image of the medium in a capturing range between the first detection unit and the first liquid discharge unit, a second image capturing unit to capture a second image of the medium in the capturing range between the first discharge unit and the first capturing unit, a second detection unit to detect a second movement amount of the medium based on the first and second images, a first determining unit to determine a discharge timing of the first discharge unit based on the first and second movement amounts, and a second determining unit to determine a capturing timing of the second capturing unit based on the first and second movement amounts.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FOR FORMING AN IMAGE FOR MEASURING A RELATIVE POSITION WITH RESPECT TO A PAPER
An image forming apparatus includes a mounting table on which an object whose image is to be scanned is mounted; an image forming section that forms an image, which includes a first image for measuring a relative position with respect to an end portion of a paper, on a first side of the paper; an image scanning section that scans the image mounted on the mounting table; and a position correction section that corrects a relative position of an image, which is formed on the paper, with respect to the paper based on a result of scanning performed by the image scanning section, in which in a case where the image scanning section scans the end portion of the paper and the image formed on the first side of the paper in a state in which the first side of the paper on which the first image is formed faces the mounting table, the end portion of the paper is mounted on the mounting table at a position separated from an end portion of the mounting table, and, further, the paper is covered with a cover paper, and the image forming section forms, on the first side of the paper, a third image that uses, as an alignment object, a second image for alignment formed on a side of the cover paper opposite to a side on which the cover paper is in contact with the paper while a part of the paper is mounted in a state of protruding from the mounting table and a first edge of the cover paper.
Image forming apparatus that calibrates a folding position
An image forming apparatus includes: a folder configured to fold a medium by forming a fold such that a side of the medium is aligned with a predetermined first position on the medium; and an image forming device configured to form a first image on a region different from a region located within a predetermined range from the first position, on at least a part of the side of the medium before the medium is folded by the folder.
Sheet conveying device, image processing apparatus, and sheet conveying method
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet placement table, a sheet discharge table, a conveyance mechanism, raising/lowering mechanism, and a raising/lowering control portion. The sheet discharge table is located below the sheet placement table. The conveyance mechanism conveys a sheet placed on the sheet placement table onto the sheet discharge table via an execution position at which image processing is executed by an image processing portion. The raising/lowering mechanism raises and lowers the sheet placement table. The raising/lowering control portion controls the raising/lowering mechanism to lower the sheet placement table when a human detection sensor configured to detect a human in a detection region has detected a human in the detection region.
SHEET ALIGNING MECHANISM
A sheet aligning mechanism includes first and second conveyance mechanisms disposed on first and second sides of a sheet conveyance path, respectively. A nip is formed between the first and second conveyance mechanisms. The first conveyance mechanism includes a first roller, a second roller, and a first conveyance belt wound around the first and second rollers. The first and second rollers are configured to rotate in a first direction along a sheet conveying direction for sheet conveyance, and stop rotation or rotate in a second direction opposite to the first direction for sheet alignment. The first conveyance belt includes an extended region between the first and second rollers in an extending direction inclined with respect to the sheet conveying direction, such that a width of the sheet conveyance path becomes narrower towards the nip in the sheet conveying direction.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a sheet conveyance section, a roller pair unit, first and second guides, and a movable guide including an upstream portion extending upstream in the sheet conveying direction with respect to the nip portion and a downstream portion extending downstream in the sheet conveying direction with respect to the nip portion. The roller pair unit nips the sheet, warps the sheet in a case where a leading end of the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance section comes into contact with the roller pair unit, and conveys the sheet. The first guide opposes a first side of the sheet and guides the sheet. The second guide opposes a second side of the sheet. The movable guide opposes the first side of the sheet and moves in such a manner that the downstream portion of the movable guide moves closer to or away from the second guide.
