INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS CONFIGURED TO BLOCK INPUTS FROM AN OPERATION PANEL WHEN THE OPERATION PANEL IS SWIVELED
An information processing apparatus includes a casing, a cover that is movable to an open position to provide access to an interior of the casing, an operation panel configured to receive an input operation and mounted on the casing to be movable between a first position at which the operation panel interferes with the opening of the cover and a second position at which the operation panel does not interfere with the opening of the cover, and a control unit including a processor that is configured to block any input operation received by the operation unit when the operation panel moves to the second position.
ROLL-FED PRINTING APPARATUS, SOFTWARE MEDIUM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A ROLL-FED PRINTING APPARATUS
A roll-fed printing apparatus for printing at least a first and a second image on a recording medium, a method for controlling such a printing apparatus and a software medium are disclosed. According to the method, each swath is printed by a print head that reciprocates in a scanning direction, the print head being controlled to apply marking material to the recording medium in accordance with a first set of image lines for each swath to be printed; the first set of image lines being provided to the print head from a swath buffer; wherein the first set of image lines are transmitted to the swath buffer out of a second set of image lines stored in a line buffer to be printed without interruption; wherein, when the line buffer comprises the final image lines of a first bitmap representing the first image while there are still empty data storage sections within the line buffer starting image lines of a second bitmap representing the second image are transferred to the empty data storage section of the line buffer.
Printer with two scanners
A printer (300) is disclosed. The printer has two scanners (336, 338) in the paper path of the printer located after the print zone (346). The two scanners are spaced apart from each other by a known distance A and overlap each other in a direction perpendicular to the media axis of travel. The two scanners capture a first and second image of the media.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD FOR A PRINTING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus for a printing apparatus. The image processing apparatus includes a recording position acquiring device for acquiring recording positions of a reference image printed by a reference print head and a target image printed by a target print head, a positional deviation amount calculating device for calculating a deviation amount due to a skew with respect to the recording positions of the reference image and the target image, and a positional deviation interpolation image converting device, when there is a remainder of the deviation amount and the predetermined intervals, for adding a weight based on the remainder, and adding a smaller weight than the weight to the reference image or the target image without a remainder and adjoining the reference image or the target image with the remainder, thereby converting the image into a width direction positional deviation interpolation image.
PRINT CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PRINT CONTROL APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A print control apparatus includes a storage unit, a reception unit, a change unit to change sheet information, and an instruction unit and communicates with a printing apparatus. The printing apparatus has a plurality of sheet holding units to hold sheets that can be conveyed and used for printing. The storage unit stores sheet information of the sheets held in a different one of the plurality of sheet holding units. The reception unit receives sheet information of a sheet held in a sheet holding unit of the plurality of sheet holding units. If the stored sheet information of the sheet held in the selected sheet holding unit is changed to the received sheet information, the instruction unit instructs the printing apparatus not to use the sheet held in the selected sheet holding unit for printing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an operation acceptance section, a storage section, a sheet feed cassette, a plurality of trays, a sorting mechanism, a scanner, a data analyzing section, and a control section. The scanner scans an image of a sheet. The data analyzing section analyzes image data of the sheet scanned by the scanner. When the operation acceptance section accepts a specification of a sorting condition from a user, the control section allows the storage section to store the sorting condition and allows the sorting mechanism to sort the sheet to one of the trays according to the sorting condition using an analysis result of the data analyzing section.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, TAPE PRINTING APPARATUS, AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD OF INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing apparatus includes a file name reading unit that reads a file name including form information indicating a printing form of an image to be printed, a preview image generating unit that specifies the printing form from the read file name, and generates a simple preview image of the image based on the printing form, and a selection display unit that displays the simple preview image as a selection for selecting the image which is desired.
CASCADING QUEUE MARKS FOR MULTIPLE INLINE IMAGERS THAT PRODUCE TICKETS OR DOCUMENTS
Production methods and systems enable the inline production of instant lottery tickets or documents using at least three different digital imagers. By interfacing at least three digital imagers in a common printing line with cascading queue marks, heretofore unknown printing efficiencies are realized, particularly on smaller volume print runs. These methods and systems enhance the overall appearance of the printed instant lottery tickets or documents, as well as potentially expand the consumer base.
PRODUCTION OF INSTANT TICKETS USING A PLURALITY OF RASTER IMAGE PROCESSORS AND A PLURALITY OF INLINE DIGITAL IMAGERS
Production methods and systems enable the inline production of instant lottery tickets or documents using at least three different digital imagers. By interfacing at least three digital imagers in a common printing line with a plurality of Raster Imager Processors (RIPs), heretofore unknown printing efficiencies are realized, particularly on smaller volume print runs. These methods and systems enhance the overall appearance of the printed instant lottery tickets or documents, as well as potentially expand the consumer base.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a document support portion, a cover portion which is capable of opening and closing, a first surface of which forms an apparatus top surface, and a second surface of which forms a support surface which supports the document, and a base frame which forms the apparatus top surface, in which the document support portion is provided to be capable of rotational movement and is capable of switching between a first posture and a second posture, in which the first surface of the cover portion forms the apparatus top surface which runs along a horizontal direction together with a top surface of the base frame in the closed state, and in which, in the first posture, a portion of the document support portion is at a height position running along the second surface of the cover portion in the closed state.
