An image forming apparatus includes an image reading device; an image forming device including a photoconductor, a charger, an exposure device including a light-emitting element, a memory to store a first correction value for correction a light emission amount of the light-emitting element, and a driver to drive the light-emitting element, a developing device, a transfer device, and a fixing device. The image forming apparatus further includes a processor to calculate a second correction value for correcting the light emission amount, based on density data of image data of a predetermined pattern on a recording medium; calculate a third correction value for correcting the light emission amount, based on the first correction value and the second correction value; and determine, before calculating the third correction value, whether placement of the recording medium on the reading table is correct based on the density data.

A color correction method, an image forming device and a storage medium are provided. The color correction method includes acquiring a job to be processed, inserting a first image into part of or each of intervals between adjacent job pages of the job to be processed, and/or, inserting the first image before/after a specific job page included in the job to be processed. The first image is configured to trigger color correction. The method also includes obtaining a detection result of a transfer image formed by the first image on an image carrier, determining whether the detection result meets a condition for triggering color correction, and when the detection result meets the condition for triggering color correction, performing color correction.
Image reading apparatus that performs shading correction, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An image reading apparatus that makes it possible to reduce the influences of dirt on a white reference chart itself, stripes caused by dust, and the like, and thereby generate accurate data for shading correction. An image processor performs shading correction on image data read by a reader unit. The read image data is compared with threshold values set for each pixel, and a pixel which is out of a range of the threshold values is determined as a singular point pixel. Data of a pixel determined as a singular point pixel is interpolated from data around the singular point pixel. Data of a pixel which is not determined as a singular point pixel is adopted as valid shading correction data. An operation controller controls the number of effective sampling lines from start to termination of sampling to be performed.
Digital document validation
A user device transmits a digital representation of a document or contract to a document or contract validation system through one or more channels. The document or contract validation system validates the document or contract before submitting the document or contract to a transaction system as a valid transaction. The digital representation of the document or contract may include one or more sets of parameters that are useful in the validation process.
Image reading apparatus and sheet processing apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a sensor, a light source, and an image-capture controller. The sensor has a sensitivity area that is in a predetermined wavelength band, and acquires an image signal in accordance with light from sheet. The light source has a first light emitting unit that emits first light having a wavelength within the sensitivity area of the sensor, and a second light emitting unit that emits second light that has a wavelength which is outside of the sensitivity area of the sensor and that excites a fluorophore applied on the sheet. The image-capture controller irradiates the sheet with the first light and the second light to acquire a first image signal using the sensor, and irradiates, after acquiring the first image signal, the sheet with only the second light to acquire a second image signal using the sensor.

According to the present disclosure, edges of a document image contained in a read image read by an image-reading apparatus including a paper path are detected, a candidate edge-skew occurrence position is detected, a candidate content-skew occurrence position is detected, an accumulated-skew occurrence position is detected based on the candidate edge-skew occurrence position and the candidate content-skew occurrence position, skew of a document rear-part image rearward from the accumulated-skew occurrence position in the conveyance direction is corrected, and image data corrected for accumulated skew is acquired.
