OBJECT FORMATION IMAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, OBJECT FORMATION IMAGE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An object formation image management system is provided. Image information containing a specific subject is extracted from image information in which subjects as candidates of a 3D object are. Multiple image-of-interest information which the specific subject is in and which are captured at different capturing viewpoints are extracted from the extracted image information to create design information for object formation by a 3D object formation device. The created design information is output to the 3D object formation device.
Scanning suspension box
A scanning suspension box is disclosed, enabling the creation of a 3D model of an object. The box is a sealable enclosure for receiving the object to be scanned. A camera coupled to a surface of the enclosure images the object to generate a three-dimensional model of the object, which does not move once contained in the box.
Image artifact mitigation in scanners for entry control systems
A method for imaging includes illuminating a vehicle undercarriage with illumination in an atmospheric absorption band, imaging the vehicle undercarriage to form an image, wherein scanning includes filtering out illumination returned from the vehicle undercarriage that is outside the atmospheric absorption band. The method includes forming an image with the filtered illumination returned from the vehicle undercarriage.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit configured to read an image formed on an object to be scanned, an image forming device configured to form an image on a printing object, a first processing unit configured to perform short-range radio communication to perform at least one of data reading operation from an information storage unit mounted on the object to be scanned and data writing operation to the information storage unit, and a second processing unit configured to perform short-range radio communication with the information storage unit mounted on the printing object to perform at least one of the data reading operation from the information storage unit and the data writing operation to the information storage unit. In the image forming apparatus, each one of the first processing unit and the second processing unit is configured to perform the short-range radio communication using a same antenna unit.
ENHANCEMENT OF EXTENDED REALITY (XR) INTERACTIONS
In one example, a method includes obtaining a set of extended reality experience information associated with an extended reality experience where the set of extended reality experience information is indicative of an expected extended reality experience for an object type, obtaining a set of object property information of a first object of the object type, obtaining a set of haptic device capability information of a wearable haptic device used to interact with the first object, determining, based on the set of object property information and the set of haptic device capability information, an actual extended reality experience for the object type, and initiating, based on a determined delta between the expected extended reality experience for the object type and the actual extended reality experience for the object type, a message configured to cause a printing of a second object of the object type for the extended reality experience.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus configured to determine measurements of an object-to-be scanned
An image reading device and an image forming apparatus. The image reading device includes a scanned-image acquisition unit configured to scan a mounting table to obtain image data of a to-be-scanned object placed on the mounting table, a capturing unit configured to capture an image of the to-be-scanned object to obtain image data of the to-be-scanned object, and a shape measuring device configured to perform a shape measurement process to measure a shape of the to-be-scanned object placed on the mounting table based on the image data of the to-be-scanned object obtained by the scanned-image acquisition unit and the image data of the to-be-scanned object obtained by the capturing unit. The image forming apparatus includes the image reading device and an image recording unit configured to record an image on a recording material.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBJECT SHIPPING AUTOMATION
Embodiments of a system and method for automating shipping for a physical object can include an object dimensions measurer (ODM) operable to collect and wirelessly transmit a dimensions dataset for the physical object, an object weight measurer (OWM) operable to collect and wirelessly transmit a weight dataset for the physical object, and a shipping automation system operable to receive datasets from the ODM and the OWM, implement a compatibility rule facilitating standardization of requirements for service levels provided by shipping carriers, determine object characteristics for the physical object, determine object characteristic specifications required by the service levels, and determine a service level for the physical object based on the object characteristics and the object characteristic specifications.
Scanning of objects
The present subject matter relates to scanning of objects. A device enabling scanning of objects includes an imaging unit to scan objects and a supporting unit to support the imaging unit on an electronic device. The supporting unit includes a supporting leg that forms a rotatable joint with the imaging unit to enable the imaging unit to fold over the supporting leg. The supporting unit also includes a coupling unit to detachably couple the device to the electronic device.
3D SCANNER USING A STRUCTURED BEAM OF PROBE LIGHT
A 3D scanner for recording the 3D topography of an object, the 3D scanner including: a projector unit configured for projecting a structured beam of probe light onto the object; an imaging unit arranged to acquire 2D images of the object when the object is illuminated by the structured probe light beam; and an actuator unit arranged to control the position of the structured probe light beam at the object by rotating a movable portion of the projector unit around a pivoting axis, the actuator unit including a rotation motor including or arranged to drive a wheel, where the surface of the wheel operatively coupled to the movable portion of the projector unit has a radial distance from the axis of the rotation motor which changes with the rotation.
