Security mark with anti-copyable effect
A document contains a security element that combines a correlation mark and pantograph mark. The pantograph mark includes a dot pattern, part of which is printed to correspond to foreground pixels of the correlation mark, and another part of which is printed to correspond to background pixels of the correlation mark.
Facilitating authentication of a void pantograph
Examples herein disclose receiving and identifier associated with a first void pantograph and identifying a second void pantograph based on the received identifier. The examples facilitate authentication of the first void pantograph by making available the second void pantograph.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS THAT PERFORMS RENDERING PROCESSING, METHOD OF RENDERING PROCESSING, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus that performs rendering processing for forming an image by a scan line method, including: a span processing unit configured to generate span data corresponding to a span demarcated by a contour of an object existing on a scan line; an elimination unit configured to perform elimination processing of an object unnecessary for drawing in the span for the generated span data; and a generation unit configured to generate a bitmap image in units of pages by using pixel data necessary for drawing of each span based on the span data after the elimination processing, wherein the generation unit generates, in a case where a part of a specific image object within a page is eliminated by the elimination processing, the pixel data necessary for drawing of each span is generated by acquiring the pixel data corresponding to the part from a FIFO memory and then discarding the acquired pixel data corresponding to the part in accordance with instructions to read and discard the part included in the span data after the elimination processing.
Secure Printing Device Controls
Systems for controlling access to documents including sensitive information and/or sensitive information are provided. In some examples, a system, computing platform, or the like, may receive a command to print a document or generate a photocopy of a document. The computing platform may analyze the document to determine whether the document includes sensitive information. If not, a first ink source, first paper source, first output destination, or the like, may be identified for use in printing the document. If so, a second, different ink source, paper source, and/or output destination may be identified for use in printing the document. The computing platform may then transmit an instruction to the printing, copying, scanning, or the like, device to print the document using the identified ink source, paper source, and/or output destination.
COPY-FORGERY-INHIBITED PATTERN IMAGE GENERATION METHOD AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A combination of a latent-image pattern which forms a latent-image part and a background pattern that forms a background-image part is determined so that the latent-image part and background-image part have equal print densities. The determined latent-image pattern and background pattern, color information used to determine a color of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image, input image information as an image to be processed, copy-forgery-inhibited pattern basic information used to designate the latent-image part and background-image part, and camouflage region designation image information used to designate a camouflage region are input. A copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image is generated on the basis of the input information.

STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, CONTROL METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing an application program, the application program causing a computer of an information processing apparatus to support software capable of generating print data printable by printing apparatuses of a plurality of manufacturers, and causing the information processing apparatus to transmit the print data to the printing apparatuses of the plurality of manufacturers, and cause the printing apparatus to execute an image data generating processing that generates image data of a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image that comes up when a piece of printed matter is copied, the image data being assigned to the piece of printed matter printed based on print data generated by the software.
Dual infrared gloss effect
A method, system and apparatus for rendering a gloss effect on a recording medium, can involve rendering a foreground pattern using a first ink composition comprising infrared absorbing colors, wherein said first ink is lightened with lightening parameters by the addition of paper white holes and rendering a background pattern using a second ink composition comprising a process or spot color, wherein said second ink is darkened with darkening parameters by the addition of infrared absorbing colors that have different amounts of infrared absorbing colors than that of the first ink composition. The lightening parameters and the darkening parameters are adjustable to ensure that the first and second inks appear approximately the same at printed sizes. Anisotropic properties can be introduced to the first and second inks, causing non-uniformity in their reflection of light in different directions when viewed under a light source, thereby creating a gloss effect renderable on a recording medium. An infrared (IR) signal can be embedded within the gloss effect to enable detection of the gloss effect using an IR sensor or an IR device.
Optimizing a copy detection pattern to increase copy detecting performance
Method of generating a copy detection pattern (CDP), or a portion of a CDP, for printing on a substrate, comprising: generating a plurality of digital files, each of an image comprising an at least partially random two dimensional (2D) distribution of dark and light pixels, and applying an optimization process configured to increase a copy detection performance of a resultant digital file output by the method, said optimization process comprising a) comparing a copy detection performance of a first of said plurality of digital files, which constitutes a test digital file, with a copy detection performance of another of said plurality of digital files modified with respect to said test digital file, which constitutes a modified digital file, b) replacing the test digital file with said modified digital file, if the copy detection performance of said modified digital file is greater than the copy detection performance of the test digital file, in which case the modified digital file becomes the test digital file, and c) repeating steps a) and b) until a termination condition is met.
