REMOTE PRINTER CONTROL WHEN OPERATIONAL POWER IS DISENGAGED
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a remote printer control device is described. The remote printer control device includes a power supply and a power interface. The power interface provides power from the power supply to the printer when an operational power supply for the printer is disengaged. A controller of the remote printer control device interfaces with, and controls, the printer when the operational power supply for the printer is disengaged.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of functions for forming an image, which are implemented by a power supply, a signal output unit, a control circuit, and a load operation unit operating in cooperation with one another. The load operation unit includes a sensor for detecting an abnormality. When the sensor has detected an abnormality, the image forming apparatus identifies a failure portion being a cause of the abnormality by checking failure portions of the power supply and the signal output unit, checking a failure portion of the control circuit when there is no failure portion in the power supply and the signal output unit, and checking a failure portion of the load operation unit when there is no failure portion in the control circuit.

An image forming apparatus includes a power switch configured to switch between an ON state and an OFF state in accordance with an operation of a user, a control unit configured to cancel a job stored in the image forming apparatus in a case where the power switch is switched to the OFF state, and a power control unit configured to shift a state of the image forming apparatus to a first state if the job is cancelled by the control unit, and to shift the state of the image forming apparatus to a second state if the job is not cancelled by the control unit.
MOBILE DEVICE
A mobile device includes a first processor, a second processor having a smaller power consumption than the first processor, and a first battery capable of supplying power to the first processor and the second processor, in which a distance between the first processor and an attachable/detachable second battery that is capable of being attached and detached and that is capable of configured to supplying power to the first processor and the second processor is longer than a distance between the second processor and the second battery.
Head unit control circuit
A head unit control circuit controls a head unit. The head unit includes an ejector, a determination circuit, and an ejection limit circuit. The ejector includes a displaceable piezoelectric element for controlling the liquid ejection. The piezoelectric element is displaced by changing a drive signal potential. The determination circuit determines whether the piezoelectric element has a predetermined electrical storage capability. The ejection limit circuit stops the drive signal to limit the ejection of the liquid based on the determination. The head unit control circuit includes: a first terminal that outputs an instruction signal instructing the head unit to execute the determination; a second terminal that outputs the drive signal; and a third terminal that is between the first terminal and the second terminal. The third terminal has a smaller potential change width than the second terminal when the ejecting section ejects the liquid.
IMAGE INPUT APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE INPUT APPARATUS
In the image input apparatus of the present invention, a control unit included therein performs control so as to stop an image reading unit in a case where an amount of power stored in a power storage unit becomes less than or equal to a first threshold value, performs control so as to charge the power storage unit with a predetermined amount of power, performs control so as to return the reading unit up to a predetermined return position in a direction opposite to an image reading direction, and after returning the image reading unit up to the predetermined return position, performs control so as to move the image reading unit in the reading direction in a case where an amount of power is larger than a second threshold value and otherwise move the image reading unit in the reading direction after charging the power storage unit with the power.
POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME, AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An object of the present disclosure is to perform discharge control that suppresses deterioration in power storage performance of a power storage component by taking the state of power supply equipment into consideration. A power supply apparatus comprises: a power storage unit that stores electric charges from an external power supply; a control unit that controls charge and discharge of the power storage unit; a state determination unit that determines the power supply state of the external power supply; and a voltage detection unit that detects the voltage at the power storage unit. The control unit performs first discharge control to lower the voltage at the power storage unit to a smaller second voltage value if a predetermined time elapses since the completion of drive of a drive unit and the state determination unit determines that the power supply state is not a state of restricting power to be supplied.
CONTROL DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD
A control device is configured to control an image forming apparatus to form an image on a recording medium. The control device includes circuitry configured to acquire a consumed direct current (DC) power value that is a DC power value consumed in the image forming apparatus, estimate a characteristic of the consumed DC power value in a period in which an image is formed on at least one recording medium, and determine a limit value of fixing power to be supplied to a fixing device of the image forming apparatus that fixes an image on a recording medium, to have cyclicity corresponding to the characteristic of the consumed DC power value.
Motor driving apparatus, sheet conveyance apparatus, document feeding apparatus, document reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
A motor control unit controls a driving current that flows through a coil of a motor to be driven, by controlling a PWM signal supplied to an H bridge circuit constituted by FETs. A current value generation unit detects a driving current based on a voltage that occurs across a current detection resistor, and corrects a detection value by using a first or second correction value. The current value generation unit, if the driving current is detected in the H period of the PWM signal, corrects the detection value by using the first correction value, and if the driving current is detected in the L period of the PWM signal, corrects the detection value by using the second correction value that has a polarity different from a polarity of the first correction value.
Image communication apparatus and method therefor
An image communication apparatus, to communicate with a telephone set, includes a first control unit, a detection unit, a generation unit, and a second control unit. The first control unit controls the image communication apparatus. The detection unit detects an occurrence of a telephone set off-hook state. The generation unit generates a pseudo-CI signal for ringing the telephone set or an intermittent off-hook voltage to be supplied to the detection unit. The telephone set is connected to a communication line or the generation unit. The second control unit controls the generation unit. Where the telephone set is controlled to wait for a call without being allowed to ring in a power-saving state, the telephone set is connected to the generation unit and placed in the power-saving state. In the power-saving state, the second control unit controls the generation unit to supply a generated intermittent off-hook voltage to the detection unit.
