RECORDING MEDIUM, POWER STATE CONTROL METHOD, AND SYSTEM
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores a program executable by an information processing apparatus configured to communicate with a device including a first element and a second element, the second element being configured to receive power from a power source, and the first element being configured to receive the power from the power source via the second element. The program includes instructions that when executed by a processor of the information processing apparatus cause the information processing apparatus to control the second element such that the second element is maintained in a power state in which the second element supplies the power to the first element.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE
An image reading apparatus includes a plurality of image reading chips. Each of the plurality of image reading chips includes, a pixel that includes a light receiving element which receives light and performs photoelectric conversion; a voltage boosting circuit that generates a transmission control signal for transmitting electric charges which are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion; and a reading circuit which generates an image signal on the basis of the electric charges which are transmitted. The voltage boosting circuit operates during a period in which the light receiving element receives the light and during a period in which the electric charges that are generated on the basis of the photoelectric conversion which is performed by the light receiving element, and stops an operation during a period in which the reading circuits of the other image reading chips output the image signals.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes: a movable body configured to illuminate a document with light; and an apparatus body configured to wirelessly transmit power to the movable body, wherein the movable body includes receiver coils, and a feed circuit in which the receiver coils uses receiving power to supply power to a load, the apparatus body includes transmitter coils placed along a track of the receiver coils, the transmitter coils and the receiver coils are placed such that power supply efficiency of any receiver coil with the transmitter coil placed along the track of the receiver coil fluctuates, and power supply efficiency related to one receiver coil increases at a position where power supply efficiency related to the other receiver coil drops, and the feed circuit supplies power sequentially using the receiving power of the receiver coil whose power supply efficiency is increased to highest among the receiver coils.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A image forming apparatus includes a power control unit, an operation mode control unit, and a first timer. The power control unit performs control so as to switch between a normal power state for supplying the operation power supply voltage to the image forming unit, a first power saving state for not supplying the operation power supply voltage to the image forming unit, and a second power saving state having less power consumption than the first power saving state. The operation mode control unit performs control so as to switch a normal mode corresponding to a normal power state, a first power saving mode corresponding to a first power saving state, and a second power saving mode corresponding to a second power saving state.
Power switching device and image processing device with power switching device
A power switching device for switching power between translational motion and rotational motion includes an active gear, a transmission mechanism, a translation mechanism, a functional gear, and a reset mechanism. The active gear can rotate in a first direction or a second direction opposite the first direction. The translation mechanism includes a runner and a pushing member. The active gear can switch between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the active gear meshes with the runner and rotates in the first direction or the second direction to drive the runner to rotate. In the second position, the active gear meshes with the transmission gear and rotates in the second direction to drive the functional gear to rotate.
PRINTER WITH SENSOR CIRCUIT HAVING ADJUSTABLE THRESHOLD
A printer, according to an example, includes a sensor circuit to sense a position of an element of the printer, wherein the sensor circuit includes a comparison circuit to compare a sensed signal to a threshold signal and generate an output signal based on the comparison. The printer includes a controller to: repeatedly power on and power off the sensor circuit; receive the output signal of the comparison circuit when the sensor circuit is powered on, thereby receiving a plurality of output signals over time; and adjust the threshold signal based on at least one of the plurality of output signals.
Image forming apparatus including a contact member for operating an electrostatic touch panel
An image forming apparatus includes a printing section, an electrostatic touch panel, a power source circuit section, and a contact member. The printing section performs printing. The electrostatic touch panel receives a touch operation by a user. The power source circuit section receives supply of power from a commercial power source and supplies power to the printing section and the electrostatic touch panel. The contact member is connected to a ground of an image forming apparatus and is touched by a user operating the electrostatic touch panel.
Image forming apparatus control method therefor and program
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of devices configured to perform different job processing, a control unit configured to control job processing performed by each device, a reception unit configured to receive an instruction for causing the control unit to shift to a state where the job processing is capable of being performed, and a power control unit configured to, when the control unit is shifted to a stand-by state in response to receiving the instruction, supply a power to a device specified based on a job processing function corresponding to an initial screen to be displayed.
Image forming apparatus, activation control method, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium encoded with activation control program
An image forming apparatus includes a main processor, a first memory, a sub processor, and a second memory. The second memory stores a snapshot that includes an executable program obtained by loading one or more programs in the first memory. The main processor switches from a drive mode to a stop mode. The sub processor activates the main processor in response to any one of a plurality of activation factors being detected, cuts off power in response to an operation mode being switched to the stop mode, and supplies power to the main processor and the first memory before the main processor is activated. The main processor reads out a snapshot associated with an activation factor from the second memory and stores the snapshot into the first memory in response to being activated by the sub processor.
Power saving control method and apparatus employing the same
An apparatus and method for saving power in an office machine having a display panel are provided. The method comprises setting the apparatus in an operation standby mode, detecting whether an error exists in the apparatus and turning on the display panel to display the error thereon when the error is detected. Furthermore, the apparatus keeps the display panel in an off state when the error is not detected. Thus, the exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a power saving method of an office machine which prevents unnecessary power consumption during an operation of an office machine having a display panel.
