Parallel/serial operational sequencing
In one example, a printer with parallel/serial operational sequencing includes an engine control unit and an image processor unit each coupled to a set of sub-systems. A network unit is coupled to the image processor unit to monitor network packets while the engine control unit, the set of sub-systems, and the image processor unit are in sleep states. When a first predetermined packet is received, the network unit signals with a first modulation signal that the image processor unit is to awaken first before the image processor unit determines whether to awaken the engine control unit and any of the set of sub-systems. When a second predetermined packet is received, the network unit signals with a second modulation signal that the image processor unit, the engine control unit, and a portion of the set of sub-systems are to awaken at the same time.
Information processing apparatus method of controlling information processing apparatus and storage medium
An information processing apparatus includes a transmission unit configured to transmit display image data and a display unit configured to display an image based on the display image data. The information processing apparatus further includes a switching unit configured to switch between inputting and not inputting the display image data transmitted by the transmission unit to the display unit, a control unit configured to control the switching unit to switch between inputting and not inputting the display image data to the display unit, and a power control unit configured to supply power to the display unit after the transmission unit starts transmitting the display image data. After the power control unit starts supplying power, the control unit controls the switching unit so that the display image data is input to the display unit.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes a connection unit, a first power supply unit, a second power supply unit, and a control device. The connection unit is connected to an electronic apparatus including a controlled device and a communication relay unit. The first power supply unit can supply power to the controlled device. The second power supply unit can supply power to the communication relay unit. The control device is capable of switching a power supply state by the first power supply unit and the second power supply unit between at least a first stop state in which power supply by the first power supply unit is continued and power supply by the second power supply unit is stopped and a second stop state in which power supply by the first power supply unit and the second power supply unit is stopped.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing apparatus includes a power controller configured to perform one of first control, which, in response to the information processing apparatus transitioning from a second power state to a first power state, supplies electric power to a storage device and drives a spindle motor, and second control, which, in response to the information processing apparatus transitioning from the second power state to the first power state, supplies electric power to the storage device without driving the spindle motor, wherein, when the information processing apparatus is in the second power state, the power controller performs the first control based on a state controller receiving a first request signal, and the power controller performs the second control based on the state controller receiving a second request signal different from the first request signal.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a sensor configured to detect a human in proximity to the image forming apparatus and a user input unit to receive user inputs related to functions of the image forming apparatus. A storage unit is provided for storing a consumable item used in the image forming apparatus. A storage unit detector detects a state of the storage unit. A controller is configured to supply power to the storage unit detector if the image forming apparatus is in a power saving state, the sensor detects a human, and the user input unit does not receive a user input within a threshold time from detection of the human.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONT ROLLING THE SAME, AND NON-T RANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM EXECUTABLE BY THE INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing apparatus, including an interface and a controller configured to: receive, from an external device, first change acceptable or non-acceptable information indicating whether changing of an amount of electric power to be supplied to the external device is allowable; supply, after the receiving the first change acceptable or non-acceptable information, the electric power to the external device; receive, during executing the supplying the electric power, second change acceptable or non-acceptable information indicating whether the changing of the power amount is allowable; determine, during executing the supplying the electric power, whether limiting of the power amount is necessary; and limit, based on the second change acceptable or non-acceptable information, the power amount when the controller determines to limit the power amount in the determining whether limiting of the power amount is necessary and the receiving the second change acceptable or non-acceptable information is executed.
PRINTING DEVICE
According to aspects of the present disclosures, a printing device has a print head, a battery, a USB PD controller. The printing device is connected to an external power source in accordance with a connection compliant with a USB standard. The external power source has a plurality of electrical power profiles. The printing device uses one of the external power source and the battery as an electrical power supplying source of the print head. The printing device a power source voltage value with a rated voltage value of the print head, when the power source voltage value is larger than the rated voltage value, determine the battery as the electrical power supplying source, and, when the power source voltage value is equal to or less than the rated voltage value, determining the external power source as the electrical power supplying source.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF RESETTING SYSTEM, METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus capable of resetting the system when a sub CPU abnormally operates. A controller includes a main CPU for controlling operation of the system and a sub CPU for controlling operation of specific internal devices. A first WDT circuit and a second WDT circuit are set to a first timer time and a a second timer time according to respective reset signals received from the sub CPU. According to a first interrupt signal output from the first WDT circuit based on expiration of the first timer time, the second timer time is controlled to be extended to a predetermined time and execution of a process for rebooting the controller is controlled. According to a second interrupt signal output from the second WDT circuit based on expiration of the extended second timer time, execution of a process for resetting the system is controlled.
