Image processing apparatus and method of controlling the same
An image processing apparatus capable of fax communication and a method of controlling the image processing apparatus are described. The image processing apparatus has a user interface capable of accepting from a user, in advance of receiving by a network interface a shutdown request, a setting of whether or not to perform shutdown processing based on the received shutdown request when the image processing apparatus is in a state of being connected to a fax line and when fax communication is possible. The image processing apparatus executes, in accordance with the setting accepted in advance from the user by the user interface, the shutdown processing of the image processing apparatus based on the shutdown request received from the external apparatus.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes an operation device that is connected to the image forming apparatus and receives an operation to the image forming apparatus; a processing unit that performs a predetermined processing by a first application in the image forming apparatus or the operation device; an error detecting unit that detects the error in the processing by the first application; a control unit that starts up a second application to resolve the error upon the error is detected; a transmission unit that transmits error data formed based on the contents of the error from the first application to the second application; and a display unit that displays the operation screen of the second application based on the error data.
Image forming apparatus, information processing method, and program to cancel a job
To address problems, an image forming apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect an error, a canceling unit configured to cancel a job in a case where the error is not released when a set period of time has elapsed after the error is detected, and a storage unit configured to store a job history including a cancellation factor indicating that the job is canceled since the set period of time has elapsed after the error is detected.
Image forming apparatus and control method supplying a clock to image processing unit in accordance with an event
This image forming apparatus includes, for example, a first control unit provided on a first control board and configured to comprehensively control the image forming apparatus, a second control unit provided on a second control board different from the first control board and configured to control a function provided by the image forming apparatus, and an image processing unit provided on the second control board and configured to execute image processing. The second control unit causes the image processing unit to execute initialization processing when power is supplied, stops supplying clocks to the image processing unit upon completion of the initialization processing, and resumes supplying clocks to the image processing unit in accordance with generation of a start event of instructing to start a function provided by the image forming apparatus.
Motor controller, image forming apparatus and motor controlling method
A motor controller includes: a velocity calculation unit for obtaining an angle (n), which shows a rotation position, and an angular velocity (n) of a rotor at a time point n; a compensation amount calculation unit for calculating a compensation angle by which the rotor advances from the time point n to a (n+1)th control cycle (a control cycle starting from a time point n+1), based on an angular acceleration a(n) of the rotor, an angular velocity (n) of the rotor at the time point n and a time length T of the control cycle; and a PWM inverter for controlling a voltage to be applied to a coil such that a rotating magnetic field based on a rotation position of the rotor advanced by the compensation angle from the rotation position of the rotor at the time point n is formed in the (n+1)th control cycle.
Image forming apparatus
A multi-function peripheral (100) includes a main controller (400) which executes a function in a normal mode and stops in a power-saving mode, a sub-controller (401) which executes a function in the power-saving mode, an accumulation unit (402) which is operable, in the case where setting information for a prescribed setting item is changed in the function executed in the power-saving mode, to accumulate the setting information before and after the change in a prescribed memory (403), and a notification unit (404) which is operable, in response to switching from the power-saving mode to the normal mode, to make notification to a user by displaying the accumulated setting information before and after the change.
PRINTING SYSTEM AND MANAGING METHOD FOR PRINTING SYSTEM
A printing system that performs printing includes a printing apparatus in which at least a part thereof is configured by a unit part which is a replaceable function component. The printing apparatus is controlled using a command group including a printer control command which is a command for controlling the printing apparatus and a unit inspection command which is a command used for an inspection of the unit part. At least a part of the printing apparatus is configured by a plurality of unit parts having different functions. The plurality of unit parts are configured to be inspected using the unit inspection command.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An information processing apparatus includes a storage unit in which a boot program is stored, a first control unit and a second control unit. The first control unit validates the boot program stored in the storage unit and transmits a pattern signal indicating that the boot program stored in the storage unit is validated. The second control unit executes the boot program stored in the storage unit in accordance with the pattern signal received from the first control unit.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND A NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus manages restart setting information that defines settings related to restarting of remote connection with a computer, controls remote connection, and changes the restart setting information according to an instruction. When remote connection is terminated as a result of a function that terminates remote connection being executed, if the restart setting information includes a setting for automatically restarting remote connection, remote connection is automatically restarted and, if the restart setting information includes a setting for not automatically restarting remote connection, remote connection is not automatically restarted.
Image forming apparatus and method for controlling image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus that enters a first power state in which a predetermined function is executable and a second power state in which the predetermined function is not executable includes a detection unit configured to detect an object; a return unit that a user operates in order to shift the image forming apparatus from the second power state to the first power state; a notification unit configured to, in a case where an object has been detected by the detection unit, notify a user of a position of the return unit; and a power-source control unit configured to, in a case where the return unit has been operated by the user, shift the image forming apparatus from the second power state to the first power state.
