Image Forming Apparatus and Condensation Reduction Method That Remove Condensation with Simple Configuration, and Recording Medium Therefor
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit, a fixing unit, a time setting unit, and a control unit. The image reading unit moves a running body having an onboard optical system. The fixing unit heats toner transferred onto the print medium and applies pressure on the heated toner with respect to the print medium to fix the toner. The time setting unit sets an estimated time when use of the image forming apparatus starts. The control unit controls the image reading unit, the fixing unit, and the time setting unit. The control unit, prior to the set estimated start-of-use time by a predetermined period set in advance, activates the image reading unit to detect whether condensation has occurred in the optical system, heats the fixing unit in response to a detection of occurrence of condensation, and stops the heating before the estimated start-of-use time.
IMAGE-READING DEVICE HAVING CONFIGURABLE MULTI-MODE ILLUMINATION AND MONOCHROME COLOR IMAGE CAPTURE AND RELATED METHODS
An image-reading device, such as optical code readers used in retail environments to scan objects, is configured to select from various operational modes. The operational modes are selected based on an application of the image-reading device, such as optical code identification or image recognition. Red, white, and other color light sources are activated in patterns corresponding to an illumination sequence of the selected operational mode, while imagers are activated to capture an image based on an exposure pattern of the selected operational mode. Further, a repeating series of light pulses having different portions of light is provided. Various imagers are configured to capture images over one of the portions. This allows an operator to perceive one continuous light pattern, yet allows various imagers to capture an image under different light conditions used for different applications of the image-reading device.
Multifunction apparatus executing plurality of image processes in parallel, control method therefor, and storage medium storing control program therefor
A multifunction apparatus that is capable of executing a scan job and another image process in parallel without lowering a reading speed of a scanner unit. A reading unit reads a document according to an execution instruction for a predetermined image process. An image processing unit applies the predetermined image process to image data obtained by the reading unit. A clock controller controls an image transfer clock for transferring the image data to the image processing unit from the reading unit. The clock controller sets a frequency of the image transfer clock to a predetermined frequency in a case where the predetermined image process is executed independently. And the clock controller sets the frequency of the image transfer clock to a frequency lower than the predetermined frequency in a case where the predetermined image process is executed in parallel with another image process that differs from the predetermined image process.
Media processing apparatus capable of printing label on storage media without interrupting
A media processing apparatus includes a medium drive, a label printer, and a medium-processing-apparatus control section. When the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a first photographic data file, the medium-processing-apparatus control section causes the medium drive to write the first photographic data file to a medium. After the medium-processing-apparatus control section has received the first photographic data file, the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a second photographic data file and causes the medium drive to write the second photographic data file to the medium. When the medium-processing-apparatus control section receives a medium close command from a control apparatus, the medium-processing-apparatus control section terminates write processing by the medium drive in response to the received medium close command, and causes the label printer to perform printing.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND METHOD
An image processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a read image of a document that is read by a document reading apparatus; and control an image output device such that the read image and an additional image are outputted to a medium with a significance portion and the additional image prevented from overlapping, and a length of the medium in a sub scanning direction is increased in a case where the significance portion of the read image and a specified region of the read image to which the additional image is decided to be added overlap.
Image processing apparatus having functions including scan function, control method thereof, and storage medium storing program for executing control method
An image processing apparatus that is capable of executing a scan image process and another image process in parallel without reducing a scanning speed. A scanner scans an image of a document and generates image data. An image processor applies an image process to image data. A scanner controller transfers image data to the image processor from the scanner through a data bus. A controller determines whether a first image process applied to the scanned image data is executed in parallel with a second image process and determines whether a setting about the first image process is a predetermined setting. The controller sets a transfer speed to a first speed when the image processes are not executed in parallel and sets the transfer speed to a lower second speed when the image processes are executed in parallel and when the setting about the first image process is the predetermined setting.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to in a case where an instruction to apply a setting of a second image processing device to a setting of a first image processing device is received, execute an application process of applying a setting of a second virtual image processing device to a setting of a first virtual image processing device, the first virtual image processing device being a virtual device of the first image processing device and being a device having the setting synchronized with the setting of the first image processing device, and the second virtual image processing device being a virtual device of the second image processing device and being a device having the setting synchronized with the setting of the second image processing device.
Determination of an occurance of an abnormality in an image forming device and control method thereof
An image forming device according to an embodiment includes an image display device, a sensor, a first unit, a second unit, a control unit, and a storage unit. The sensor acquires information on a phenomenon that occurs in association with occurrence of an abnormality in the own device. The first unit includes a plurality of components and performs a part of image forming processing. The second unit includes a plurality of components and performs processing that is a part of the image forming processing and is different from the processing performed by the first unit. The control unit causes the first and second units to operate at different timings and performs display for causing a user to instruct a timing at which the abnormality occurs on the image display device. The storage unit records, as abnormality information, the information acquired by the sensor and an instruction of the user.
