IMAGE-READING DEVICE HAVING CONFIGURABLE MULTI-MODE ILLUMINATION AND MONOCHROME, COLOR IMAGE CAPTURE AND RELATED METHODS
An image-reading device, such as optical code readers used in retail environments to scan objects, is configured to select from various operational modes. The operational modes are selected based on an application of the image-reading device, such as optical code identification or image recognition. Red, white, and other color light sources are activated in patterns corresponding to an illumination sequence of the selected operational mode, while imagers are activated to capture an image based on an exposure pattern of the selected operational mode. Further, a repeating series of light pulses having different portions of light is provided. Various imagers are configured to capture images over one of the portions. This allows an operator to perceive one continuous light pattern, yet allows various imagers to capture an image under different light conditions used for different applications of the image-reading device.
Scanning Imaging Part, Scanning Imaging Device, and Electronic Apparatus
The present disclosure provides a scanning imaging part, and related products and methods. The scanning imaging part includes a transparent body, a light blocking ink, a charged liquid droplet, and a microfluidic component. The transparent body may include a first face and a second face opposite to each other. An image sensor may be arranged on the second face. The charged liquid droplet and the light blocking ink may be insoluble with each other, and may be filled in a liquid flow channel. The charged liquid droplet may transmit at least a part of light incident from the first face through the charged liquid droplet and to the image sensor. The microfluidic component may drive the charged liquid droplet to move in the liquid flow channel. Thereby, light incident from the first face may be scanned via the charged liquid droplet and form a scanning image by the image sensor.
Information processing apparatus, image forming apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium with communication of printer layout information in response to image processing and reading speed
An information processing apparatus includes: a print data acquisition unit that acquires print data; a layout information acquisition unit that acquires layout information concerning plural image forming parts that are aligned from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a moving direction of a transfer target that moves and form images of respective different colors on the transfer target; and an image information generation unit that generates pieces of image information for the respective colors used by the plural image forming parts from the print data during a generation period and generates image information used by an image forming part located on an upstream side in the moving direction more in a former half of the generation period than in a latter half of the generation period.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
In an image processing apparatus, a processor reads a boot loader from a first storage device, reads a main program from a second storage device by executing the boot loader, and, by executing the main program, transitions to an operation state. The first storage device is mounted on a board on which the processor is mounted. The second storage device is electrically connected with the processor via a bus. When an error occurs during reading of the main program from the second storage device, the processor automatically reads a backup program from the third storage device and displays a screen including warning information on a display device by executing the backup program.
Image processing system for retransmitting image data based on detection of abnormality of reception timing of a horizontal synchronization signal
The image processing system includes a reading unit configured to read an image of a document for each line to generate image data, a generation unit configured to generate a horizontal synchronization signal, the horizontal synchronization signal indicating a pixel at an initial position in each line of the image data that is generated through the reading of the image, a transmitting unit configured to transmit the image data through the reading of the document, and the horizontal synchronization signal, a receiving unit configured to receive the image data and the horizontal synchronization signal transmitted from the transmitting unit, and a requesting unit configured to request retransmission of the image data under transmission from the transmitting unit when the receiving unit receives an horizontal synchronization signal which is different from normal, wherein the transmitting unit transmits the image data in response to the request by the requesting unit.
Image processing apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An image processing apparatus having a reading unit that can read both sides of an original in parallel has a processing unit that processes image data obtained by the reading unit reading an original. The apparatus controls to execute processing by the processing unit on image data of a first surface of the original and reading of a second surface of the original in parallel. The apparatus determines whether or not to start processing by the processing unit on image data of the second surface of the original when processing by the processing unit on the image data of the first surface of the original completes, and in accordance with the determination result, the apparatus controls of a start of processing by the processing unit on the image data of the second surface of the original.
Image forming apparatus that improves FCOT
An image forming apparatus which is capable of reading an original, temporarily storing image data in a storage unit, and then transferring the image data to an image forming unit to improve FCOT in forming an image. A memory stores image data output from image reading units. An image forming unit forms an image on a recording medium based on the image data stored in the memory. A first memory output frequency in a first mode in which one side of an original is read and an image is formed on one side of a recording medium is lower than a second memory output frequency in a second mode in which both sides of an original are read and an image is formed both sides of a recording medium.
Fixed retail scanner with multi-port network switch and related methods
The disclosure includes a fixed retail scanner including a data reader comprising a main board, one or more camera modules, and a multi-port network switch disposed within a housing of the data reader. The multi-port network switch is configured to provide a network backbone for at least some internal devices within the housing of the data reader and for at least some external devices positioned external to the housing of the data reader and operably coupled with the data reader through the multi-port network switch. Related systems may include a remote server operably coupled to the fixed retail scanner through the multi-port network switch such that image data to the remote server may be communicated via the multi-port network switch from at least one of the main board or the at least one camera coupled to the multi-port network switch.
