An image formation apparatus includes a printer configured to perform a printing process including transporting a recording medium and printing an image on the transported recording medium, and a hardware processor which determines whether the recording medium is only one sheet to be printed, and, depending on a result thereof, changes a time at which the printing process is started. Changing the time includes causing the printer to start the printing process when a first start print time is reached in a case in which the hardware processor determines that there is only one sheet to be printed, and causing the printer to start the printing process when a second start print time later than the first start print time is reached in a case in which the hardware processor determines that there is not only one sheet to be printed.

An information processing apparatus includes: a print data acquisition unit that acquires print data; a layout information acquisition unit that acquires layout information concerning plural image forming parts that are aligned from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a moving direction of a transfer target that moves and form images of respective different colors on the transfer target; and an image information generation unit that generates pieces of image information for the respective colors used by the plural image forming parts from the print data during a generation period and generates image information used by an image forming part located on an upstream side in the moving direction more in a former half of the generation period than in a latter half of the generation period.

An image printing apparatus including a communication interface, a printer, a user interface including an operation panel, a controller configured to control the printer and the user interface is provided. The controller is configured to receive preliminary data sent from an information processing apparatus through the communication interface; control the printer to perform a warm-up action; receive job data including image data through the communication interface; control the user interface to perform a receipt-notification and control the printer to start printing based on the image data; during a period from the receipt of the preliminary data until start of receiving the job data, withhold from accepting a cancellation command sent in response to user entering a cancellation operation; and after the start of receiving the job data, accept the cancellation command and cancel printing of the image based on the job data associated with to the entered cancellation command.

An image forming apparatus includes an obtaining unit that obtains personal setting information about a user who logs into the image forming apparatus from a server apparatus and a display control unit that controls a display unit to display a customized operation screen customized for the user based on the obtained personal setting information. If the personal setting information has been obtained from the server apparatus within a predetermined time, the customized operation screen is displayed. If the personal setting information has been obtained from the server apparatus after the predetermined time elapses, the customized operation screen is not displayed.

A copying apparatus includes a capturing unit that divides an image on a document into plural regions and captures an image of each region, a storage unit that stores data representing the image of the region, a forming unit that reads the data and forms an image represented by the data on a medium, and an instruction unit that determines a capture start time on the basis of a size of the data and instructs the capturing unit to start capturing the image at the capture start time.

An image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit, a fixing unit, a time setting unit, and a control unit. The image reading unit moves a running body having an onboard optical system. The fixing unit heats toner transferred onto the print medium and applies pressure on the heated toner with respect to the print medium to fix the toner. The time setting unit sets an estimated time when use of the image forming apparatus starts. The control unit controls the image reading unit, the fixing unit, and the time setting unit. An image processing apparatus inquires to an external apparatus for information as to whether or not a first database relating to setting items of the image processing apparatus exists, when initially connecting to the network; obtains setting values of the first database when it is confirmed that the first database exists; and reflects the obtained setting values to a second database held in the image processing apparatus and requests to the external apparatus to update information of the first database with the reflected setting values of the second database.
