Exercise apparatus
11123596 · 2021-09-21 · ·

An exercise apparatus includes an elongated support element extending between first and second ends. The support element has a mounting member located at each of the first and second ends to engage with a door or wall surface and mount the support element thereto. A resistance-generating assembly includes a stationary member attached to the support element. A displaceable member is mountable to the support element and displaceable therealong relative to the stationary member. A resilient member is removably mountable between the stationary and displaceable members. The resilient member generates resistance upon being elastically deformed by displacement of the displaceable member relative to the stationary member. A pulley is mounted to the displaceable member and displaceable therewith, and another pulley is mounted to the support element. A hand-operable cable engages the pulleys to effect displacement of the displaceable member relative to the stationary member. A method is also disclosed.

Tension Trainer System and Method

A tension trainer system and method of using the system. The tension trainer system may include a resistance strap having a first portion and a second portion; an anchor attachment point disposed between the first portion and the second portion of the resistance strap; grip attachment points, wherein a first one of the grip attachment points may be disposed at an end of the first portion of the resistance strap opposite that of the anchor attachment point and a second one of the grip attachment points may be disposed at an end of the second portion of the resistance strap opposite that of the anchor attachment point; and one or more tension measurement devices may be integrated with the resistance strap.

EXERCISE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE

A flying disc training device incorporates a training disc for being gripped by a user, and having a centerpoint, top and bottom sides and an annular rim. A swivel strap includes first and second ends pivotably attached at the centerpoint of the disc on respective top and bottom sides. The swivel strap forms an intermediate loop which extends beyond the annular rim of the disc, such that the swivel strap is capable of freely pivoting relative to the disc. An elastic resistance band is attached to the swivel strap and has a free end adapted for being secured to a fixed structure.

WORKOUT SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING ROBUST DOOR MOUNTING

Methods and systems are presented in which one or more heavy-duty straps are positioned in contact with a top and bottom of said door and engaged with a heavy mechanism exerting a static tension greater than 10 newtons. A user can exercise using removable extenders attached to any of several loops at various vertical positions, creating enormous leverage along the strap(s). Notwithstanding large kinetic energy imbued upon components during or after exercise as described herein, damage may be minimized by supplemental cushioning.
