SUBSCRIPTION-BASED PRINT JOB EXECUTION
A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium encoded with instructions that, when executed by a processor of a computing device, cause the processor to associate a first subscription of a first user to a second subscription of a second user. The first subscription may correspond to a replaceable component of an image forming apparatus. A subscription service may enable the image forming apparatus to print a first number of pages and a second number of pages as part of the first subscription and second subscription, respectively. Further, the non-transitory machine-readable storage medium may include instructions to generate a print job including print content to be printed on the image forming apparatus, provide a user-selectable option to specify a category of the print content on a user interface, and selectively utilize the first subscription or the second subscription to execute the print job based on the specified category.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, if an image forming apparatus receives a FAX data, the image forming apparatus posts a message to a chat service indicating that the FAX data has been received, and according to a setting of a forwarding destination of FAX data and scheduled forwarding time, the image forming apparatus posts a message indicating the scheduled forwarding time of the received FAX data. If the image forming apparatus receives an instruction related to forwarding the received FAX data (canceling, changing scheduled time, changing forwarding destination) via the chat service, the image forming apparatus performs processing related to the forwarding the received FAX data (canceling to forward processing, changing scheduled time processing, changing forwarding destination processing) based on the instruction.
MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A network system according to the present disclosure includes a plurality of multifunction peripherals as a plurality of electronic devices having agent functions and a management server as a management apparatus. Only the agent function of one of the multifunction peripherals is enabled, and the agent function of each of the other multifunction peripherals is disabled. The multifunction peripheral having the agent function enabled acquires the status information on each of the multifunction peripherals including itself and collectively sends the status information to the management server. This prevents an increase in the network traffic. Also, as the agent function of the multifunction peripheral having the agent function with the highest capability is enabled, smooth management is achieved.
Image processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium
An image processing apparatus includes a selector and an instructor. The selector selects an image. The instructor provides an instruction if an aspect ratio of the selected image exceeds a maximum ratio of a range of predetermined aspect ratios. The instruction is an instruction to remove an end portion of the selected image in a width direction so that the aspect ratio of the selected image will be contained within the range of the predetermined aspect ratios. The instructor also provides an instruction if the aspect ratio of the selected image is smaller than a minimum ratio of the range of the predetermined aspect ratios. The instruction is an instruction to add a margin to an end portion of the selected image in the width direction so that the aspect ratio of the selected image will be contained within the range of the predetermined aspect ratios.
Virus scanning operation user control
An embedded device, a method for executing a virus scan program, and a non-transitory storage medium storing instructions for executing the virus scan program are provided. The embedded device on which the virus scan program for detecting computer virus operates starts a virus scan, displays a first display component for receiving an instruction to pause the virus scan, receives the instruction to pause the virus scan, and pauses the virus scan when the instruction to pause the virus scan is received.
JOB PROCESSING SYSTEM
A job processing system includes a host computer and an image forming apparatus connected via a network with each other, the host computer includes a job register acceptor that accepts a job register and a communication device that sends the job register to the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus includes a display controller and a job execution controller, the job execution controller controls sequential execution of a plurality of jobs shown in the changed job register in accordance with an execution order of the plurality of jobs, and the display controller keeps from making an update to cause a display of the changed job register immediately after a network interface device receives the changed job register, but makes an update to cause a display of the changed job register when a predetermined display updating condition is achieved after the receipt of the changed job register.
OBTAINING DEFAULT CONFIGURATION OF APPLICATION
An example computing apparatus requests a server to transfer default configuration information of a target application among a plurality of applications and receives the default configuration information from the server. The computing apparatus provides an interface for modifying a configuration of the target application based on the default configuration information and stores the configuration information modified through the interface. The computing apparatus configures the target application of a target image forming apparatus among a plurality of image forming apparatuses using the modified configuration information.
Managing user-defined service
An image forming apparatus may include a memory storing computer-executable instructions and a processor. The processor is to execute the computer-executable instructions to execute a service program management module of an application framework layer, according to a request of a user-defined service program having application service rights of an application layer, register a service provided by the user-defined service program in the service program management module, request an operation of a system service requiring system service rights of an operating system layer, and manage the registered service.
TERMINAL DEVICE CONTROL METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING PROGRAM STORED THEREON
A terminal device control method includes: a window mode information acquisition step of acquiring window mode information indicating any one of a single-window mode, which is a mode in which one application runs, and a multi-window mode, which is a mode in which a plurality of applications run in parallel, for a screen of a terminal device configured to cause an external device to perform operation by communicating to/from the external device; a switching step of making a switch, in a case in which the window mode information acquired in the window mode information acquisition step indicates the multi-window mode, to enable or disable a first operation, which is an operation to be performed at least in a time period in which a first application for causing the external device to perform operation runs, and is an operation regarding information to be transmitted from the external device to the terminal device; and a first operation execution step of executing the first operation in a case in which the switch has been made to enable the first operation in the switching step.
Document operation performance
Examples dis closed herein relate to receiving a first request to begin a first operation on a physical document, receiving a second request to begin a second operation, determining whether the first operation has completed, and in response to determining that the first operation has not completed, delay performance of the second operation.
